Favorite Movie of All Time???
What's everyones favorite movie of all time.
Right now, I still really like The Ring and can't wait for it to come out on video. |
A Walk To Remember
|
Momento.
|
Quote:
I saw that coming a mile away.:) BTW, Hawaii, I maybe in the islands shortly. |
Shawshank Redemption
|
A tie between "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" and "Rushmore".
|
Did you say RUSHMORE???
|
Casablanca. Or Airplane.
|
Yes.
Got a problem? |
Jaws
|
Quote:
Yes, it's this hangnail, you see. Just kidding. Actually, I hated that movie. Felt dumber for watching it. No offense, you may feel the same from Memento. |
The Godfather
|

Err, what? :D Tarkus P.S. Have to think a while but the ones that immeidately come to mind are The Great Escape, West Side Story, and The Shawshank Redemption. |
Saving Private Ryan
|
Mallrats
|
Too many too choose. If you pinned me down and made me pick just one I would probably have to say "A Clockwork Orange"
|
Pulp Fiction
|
Dark City
|
Raging Bull
|
At this moment it's The Usual Suspects.
Ask me again next week and it'll be different. |
Casablanca.
|
Sands of Iwo Jima
|
Usual Suspects
Shawshank a close second. |
Forrest Gump
|
THe Princess Bride
|
I have 3.
The Eagle has Landed. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. And my off the wall one: The Professional. |
Maid in Manhattan
|
Caddyshack or Vacation
|
Enter The Dragon, with Shawshank in second.
|
Battlestar Galactica
|

Hehehe, you know me :p ;) When will you be here? |
This really has to be narrowed down by genre but...
Aliens or Scarface |
Wow, boiling it all down to one? That's a tough task. If forced at gunpoint though, I'd say Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. I keep hoping it will someday appear on DVD, or that I'll find a used laserdisc copy...
|
The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pitmann

Yikes, you won't catch me renting The Ring. I don't want to die... My favorites are: Alice In Wonderland (cartoon version) Field Of Dreams Apocalypse Now |
I don't think I could pick one.
Snatch, no, Good Will Hunting. Wait, Lock Stock was a classic. But can't forget Memento (no pun intended!), or Shawshank... |
Damn, or Mallrats...
Quote:
Really? My brother has the entire Stanley Kubrick collection, and I've never seen this. I might have to watch it. |
Quote:
Brace yourself - it's not for the feint of heart. Definitely worth seeing though... |
Good to see that my favorite, The Shawshank Redemption, is getting so many mentions here.
As many have said, though, it's very hard to limit it to one. I got a brain cramp once trying to figure it all out, so I settled on Shawshank and haven't looked back. :) Chief Rum |
A second vote for Pulp Fiction
Also a second vote for Rushmore???? I felt less intelligent for having watched it. |
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
A Clockwork Orange |
Tough call to pick one. Kelly's Heroes comes to mind.
|
Gettysburg
|
Wall Street
|
I've got hundreds of "all time great" movies that I love but one, and one only is #1 to me : STARWARS
|
Brazil
|
Word.
Star Wars. |
The Godfather, The Outlaw Josey Wales or Ferris Bueller's Day Off, depending on what mood I am in
|
Tough call...
Probably one of a few A Few Good Men Unforgiven As Good As It Gets |
Two Words.... OFFICE SPACE!!
By the way, I saw BLOW for the first time last night.. A very interesting movie, but it sure is hard to take Pee Wee Herman seriously. :D |
