Inguinal Hernia

I don't remember having a player get this. Anyone have any experience? Is it always a big ratings hit, mostly, sometimes, or never?

I had my stud DT in FOFL get this (in 2k4), I think during a conference championship game. Duration of 20+ weeks. He didn't suffer any ratings hits when he returned to probable status in time to start the next season. He was something like Probable, 1W. And he promptly went down again, for 20+ weeks.

Fortunately though, he didn't lose any ratings that time either, and made it back to first-team All-FOFL. He's at 77/77 now, in his 12th season.

One is a terrible sample set, but it's given me hope...

You did say *any* experience, and that's all the first-hand experience I have with it.

Ha, yeah, I'm very glad that you posted, I wish someone else would that has had experience with it once too. I was just remarking that I myself wasn't drawing a conclusion from it, but that it was a step in the right direction.

I have a player in the OSFL right now with that hernia. He's still inactive--injury wasn't severe enough for i.r.--but when he's cleared for play, I'll let you know how it effected his ratings.

I've seen it before, but I can't remember if it was in FOF MP or on the Olive Garden Menu. Sorry.
