While accurate, is this appropriate?

My nephew was looking at a website about playing soccer, and he asked me about shin guards. I told him to look up what it says about it.

Here is the site:

http://www.kidzworld.com/article/185...ds-buying-tips

And here is the opening paragraph:

Soccer Shin Guards - Buying Tips
If you play soccer, sooner or later someone's going to kick you in the shins - and it's going to hurt. The only thing more painful is scoring on your own goal or getting kicked in the balls. One in 10 serious soccer injuries involve shins - so save yourself some pain and buy a pair of shin guards. All the pros wear shin guards and it's mandatory in most youth soccer leagues as well.

Is this a normal thing for a kids website? It is a true statement, but it seemed so out of sorts for the site.

I love that these are grouped together. The website should have warned that doing the former will likely lead to the latter, from your own teammates.

I think for a kid, "getting kicked in the balls" is much easier understood than "being struck in the testes".

But i think the bigger question is, is any reference to that essential to the article?

I don't find it all that inappropriate...I mean...It's not something you want a child to be repeating in a classroom or anything, but they much worse on the playground every day.

Ah soccer. The only sport that I've been kicked in the jaw, had a ball kicked in my balls, and that I broke someones shin in three places.

I loved playing soccer.

I'm surprised that it didn't say cojones, seeing as how soccer is part of the plan to impose the new world state upon the US.

George Soros only approved the term 'balls'. :)

Y'all laugh now, but when LT's looking like a fool trying to dribble a soccer ball for the San Diego Senors for the "new" National Football League"... I don't think you'll be chuckling too much. :p

I think most football players will follow Jim Brown's cue and take up lacrosse. :)

I'm playing tonight and hope not to experience this first-ball.
