This really sucks...
 

Man speaks Vai, an African dialect spoken by 100,00 people. Still, man is able to attend HS and CC in US. Man then rapes 7 year old girl multiple times. Man speaks to detectives in English. Psychiatrist recommends that an interpreter be present for court proceedings. State goes through three interpreters, one of which quits because the facts of the case are too disturbing. State then can't find another interpreter in the U.S. Judge throws out charges because man's right to speedy trial has been violated.

That is a crazy story....I find it odd that any interpreter would let their own inhibitions get in the way of justice for someone so ghastly. But I guess if you speak that dialect, there's a chance you're on a different level than most people....
