Lindsay Lohan trainwreck...

Lindsay Lohan Arrested for DUI, Cocaine PossessionReleased on $25,000 Bail
Quote:

By Subha Ravindhran
SANTA MONICA, July 24, 2007 (KABC-TV) - Just two weeks after completing a second rehab stint, actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested in Santa Monica early Tuesday on suspicion of drunken driving and cocaine possession.

The 21-year-old actress was booked on two misdemeanor charges of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transportation of a narcotic into a custody facility.

Police found what appeared to be cocaine inside one of her pants pocket when she got into the Santa Monica facility.

Officers say this all started at around 1:30 a.m. near the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium along Pico Boulevard and Main Street. Officers reportedly got a call from a driver that said he or she was being chased by another car. The driver of that other car turned out to be Lindsay Lohan.

Authorities say she had two other people in the car at the time. Officers took her out of the car and gave her a field sobriety, which she failed. They then brought her back to the Santa Monica Police Department. That is when she discovered what appeared to be cocaine in a pocket.

Police say a breath test was conducted at the facility and her blood alcohol was between .12 percent and .13 percent. California's legal limit is 0.08 percent.

Lohan was released at 6:20 a.m. after posting $25,000 bail.

In May, Lohan was arrested for a DUI after she crashed her Mercedes in Beverly Hills. Just last week, Lohan turned herself into the Beverly Hills Police Department and was booked on those DUI charges.

Lohan just recently completed a 45-day stay in the Malibu treatment facility. She just turned 21 on July 2nd. This is Lohan's second DUI arrest this year.

Seymore Butts presents, scoring with Coke Whores.

This word, "rehab." It does not mean what you seem to think it means.

QuikSand 07-24-2007 11:22 AM

I think it's time for some sort of public pledge -- to just refuse to be interested in these stories. Between airhead heiresses, pantyless poseurs, and cokesniffing coquettes... there's just nothing redeeming at all about this little subset of pop culture.

We could all make the pledge...it's never going away. People either love it, or love to hate it, or pretend to be repulsed but crave every new story. I mean, this got posted on a text sim internet message board. This shit's here to stay.

We tried that :)

I don't know what is more tragic, how idiotic these girls are, or the fact that when I am flipping through the channels I actually see teenage girls admit on national TV how they idolize or think highly of these girls like Paris Hilton.

I must admit, I'm a little interested in at least one of these.

Agreed. I personally do not see the draw in these stories at all, but obviously millions of people do.

Ksyrup 07-24-2007 12:08 PM

How can someone "refuse to be interested?" You are either interested or not. If stuff like this interests you, the only thing you can do is stay away from news sites that post these articles (which is all of them). Because once it is posted as news, and you see it, your interest kicks in.

Desnudo 07-24-2007 12:09 PM

I'm not sure what's more annoying, people interested in the story, or the meta-interest in the people who are interested in the story.

but can you read said story and remain thoroughly uninterested in it?

or said another way are you technically interested if you go out of your way to post in a lohan titled thread but claim uninterest in your post?

gottimd 07-24-2007 12:34 PM

I'm suggesting that you are either interested or not in this type of story before you ever see it, or heck, before it ever happens. Whether that interest manifests itself is entirely dependent upon whether you see the news item/thread, etc. At that point, if you have that interest, it attaches and you post ad nauseum about a trivial issue that gets some people's panties in a bunch. Unless they are pantyless (is pantiless an alternate spelling?).

so you are saying that quiksand secretly is interested in this and his plea for a "pledge" is merely a device to disguise said interest?

i'm saying quiksand is not interesting and should go back to making threads about Leonard Cohen and leave hollywood gossip about hot young (large breasted) starlets to us common-folk.

Anthony 07-24-2007 01:12 PM

but i do like his "cokeheaded coquettes" part. LOL that makes me imagine someone sitting at the table of the Mad Hatter. let's see, we have Alice, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee & Dum, and the cokeheaded coquette.

No, I don't think he's interested at all, I just think he's attempting to achieve the unachievable, since it is largely out of our hands except to the extent we shut ourselves off from all news sources.

Just sayin':

Izulde 07-24-2007 01:34 PM

I'd take an airheaded heiress, personally.

Radii 07-24-2007 01:44 PM

There's just something *wrong* about that mugshot and the darker skin around her mouth. One of my friends came up with a better description than anything I'd ever think of:

Her mug shot is gruesome, she looks like she had her face in a bucket of chii and someone said "HEY GET OUT OF MY CHILI" and she looks up and says "huh?" and someone takes a picture.

Passacaglia 07-24-2007 01:57 PM

Why did they let her drive a train, anyway?

st.cronin 07-24-2007 02:00 PM

I'd hit it.

Noop 07-24-2007 02:07 PM

Sad really and imagine how many young teenage girls want to be like her and Paris Hilton.

JediKooter 07-24-2007 02:36 PM

I think Larry Flint should step in with an intervention.

Three possible reasons:

1. Schadenfreude
2. "there but for the grace of God go I"
3. Boobies and hoo-has

This thread reminds me that I need to check thesuperficial.com for any updates to the story...

Just for future reference, when she (or Nicole Ritchie, or the evil Olsen twin, or any of these other interchangable morons) inevitably drops dead, do we all have to pretend it's some sort of epic tragedy?

Ksyrup 07-24-2007 03:42 PM

Not quite to Anna Nicole proportions, but yes, we do!

I thought the coke and anorexia took away her large breasts?

There does appear to be something peaking above the black bra she's wearing...

If those are her nipples though, they make Marty Feldman's eyes look straight.

Well, speaking from personal experience, bras don't always provide symmetry...

cuervo72 07-24-2007 06:00 PM

But do they throw nipples out of alignment?

Quick nod of respect to QS's imaginative use of the "airheaded heiress" alliteration.

And: pantiesless?

you would think wrong, my psychloptic friend. the girls are still wonderful.

st.cronin 07-24-2007 08:36 PM

In all seriousness, I actually think she's a good actress. I hope she pulls herself together.

Anthony 07-24-2007 08:38 PM

i soooo want to post a very recent pic of her in a tube top bikini, but i don't know if our sissy mods will object to it. no nudity, but it's a great example of how her breasts are still very much in play.

You have very low standards in regard to "big" breasts.
