Chester Taylor Carted Off Field

Peterson will now jump into the starting RB spot and never look back...

From FantasyFootball.com

Vikings RB Chester Taylor left Blakeslee Stadium on a cart this morning with a right shoulder or right arm injury. He was hit after catching a pass and, after a short period of time, appeared to be in a lot of pain.

If this injury is serious, the stock of rookie RB Adrian Peterson will go through the roof. Peterson is already highly regarded in fantasy football, but the starting job would move him up into the top 15 running backs. Taylor rushed for 1,216 yards last season with six TDs and will still have some fantasy value if this injury is not serious. Stay tuned for more details on the injury.

a guy gets injured and all you think about is how it affects fantasy football?

I think he also wondered if he left the iron on this morning.

right shoulder or right arm injury isn't really life threatening IMO... I was just making a statement that Peterson will probably be jumped into the #1 back.

What does this do to Chester Taylor's rookie card?

if left unattended it could severly diminish the value if damaged in the fire

Sorry boys, just a shoulder contusion (which I believe is a fancy word for a bruise). Coach Childress said he is day-to-day.

What about Peterson's history makes you think he won't give it back with an injury at some point?

The word from a local reporter were that he wasn't actually carted off the field as the national media made it seem. The reporter said that when it happened it looked like a relatively minor injury when it happened and Taylor walked off the field on his own, but after leaving the field wound up being driven to the trainers room which was a ways away by one of the many golf carts the team had in the area.

Here's the report from KFAN.com
- Chester Taylor injured his right wrist/forearm on the third play of today's short scrimmage. He walked to the sidelines clutching his wrist, wincing in pain. The trainers carted him off the field in order to spare the long walk. X-Rays were negative. The injury is simply a bruise. He's considered day-to-day.

Doc, it hurts when I move my arm like this.

Don't move your arm like that.
