What a muppet.

Reminds me of a clip on America's Dumbest Criminals (or a similar show) where the idiot broke into a post office by breaking the lock.

When he was finished collecting his swag, he pushed to door, only to find it wouldn't open.

In the morning he was arrested (having been stuck there all night).

Apparently, it was a pull door.

I tried to find the clip on the internet but failed. I did find a similar story though.
