ISiddiqui 09-06-2007 08:29 PM

WOOOOT!!

mauchow 09-06-2007 08:37 PM

Is it the VY effect for the middle of Texas to see the Titans game?

wade moore 09-06-2007 09:03 PM

I like the addition of giving the announcers on this.

stevew 09-06-2007 09:05 PM

I keep hoping for overseas games, just so they are John Madden free. Lardass will probably take a boat, however.

Probably. But why the hell is some of Texas and Oklahoma seeing the Miami/Washington game?

clintl 09-06-2007 09:40 PM

Did Dick Enberg retire?

Thomkal 09-06-2007 09:41 PM

He's doing the US Open

You got all three #1 national games??

k0ruptr 09-07-2007 04:31 AM

and they all suck.

k0ruptr 09-07-2007 04:32 AM

Dola I guess Chicago San Diego isnt that bad.

RPI-Fan 09-07-2007 04:34 AM

"isn't that bad"? #1 team in the NFC vs. #1 team in the AFC last year???

k0ruptr 09-07-2007 04:35 AM

Yea but come on now, everyone knows Chicago blows.

Yeah.. looking it over I'm not sure what games he'd rather see... I can maybe see a better game on the 1:00 CBS, but that's about it.

saldana 09-07-2007 06:11 AM

at least there is some exitement for me on cbs...i live right on where the dividing line appears to be between the jets/pats game or the steelers/browns.

.....and the second thoughts about cancelling Sunday Ticket have begun.

Honolulu_Blue 09-07-2007 07:45 AM

Awesome. A whole season worth of Hall of Fame worthy calls by Matt Vasgersian and J.C. Pearson, the National Voices of your 2007 Detroit Lions.

Pumpy Tudors 09-07-2007 07:50 AM

VPI, thanks for posting the maps.

I get PIT/CLE (obviously), PHI/GB, and CHI/SD. I'm not really excited about any of those games, but I like Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon, so I guess I can stomach the Steelers and Browns. I don't even know if I'll bother watching the Bears and Chargers. If the Broncos lose in Buffalo, I might not be in the mood to watch any more football on Sunday. :)

Besides, the game I'm most amped about is CARDS AND NINERS! HOT HOT MONDAY LATE NIGHT ACTION! TUESDAY SICK DAY, HERE I COME!!!

Subby 09-07-2007 08:04 AM

If anything, that map shows just how bad America is at coming up with good football announcing teams.

Yes, it started last year about halfway through the season. KEYE, the Austin CBS affiliate, said after the season they would likely switch back to carrying Texans games. After an offseason of customer complaints/requests they begin this season as Titans broadcasters again. We'll see where it's at in Week 6, though. They can't show the Titans in weeks 3, 4, or 5 because the Titans host an NFC team, have a bye, and then play on Monday night.

Yeah, but you get the comedy Rex Grossman factor.

k0ruptr 09-07-2007 02:57 PM

Yes thats why I don't mind that game, could be a fun one if evil Rex shows up.

sooner333 09-07-2007 03:00 PM

I called my FOX station in OKC and they said we would get to see Atlanta/Minnesota instead. So, like Austin with VY, I guess we'll get AD treatment with the Vikings so long as the Cowboys aren't on.

Oh, and the map was updated, Louisville apparently gets Petrino treatment with the Falcons now.

Warhammer 09-07-2007 03:32 PM

Why the heck doesn't Memphis get the St. Louis game?

Schmidty 09-07-2007 04:00 PM

God Bless Sunday Ticket.

Karlifornia 09-07-2007 04:05 PM

I'm really hoping Oakland doesn't sell out...which means I'll get to watch San Diego/Chicago

Reallly? I thought if the local game was blacked out that just meant you got to watch some Sunday afternoon movie or infomercial.

That's one of the positives of moving back home. I no longer have to shell out hundreds of dollars to watch the Lions play like crap and lose almost every week. I know have the pleasure of doing this for free.

The Raiders get blacked out here at least 50% of the time, and I seem to remember getting to see a different game. Maybe my memory is bad, though.

Yeah, but with Sunday Ticket, I can scrub my mind clean by pausing the Lions game, and watching a few minutes of actual good games here and there, before going back to the painful stuff.

So it does have a few other benifits.

I think if you're in a secondary market, you might be eligible for a different game. People in the primary market definitely get a total blackout.

This is the main reason the person who creates the maps doesn't want them posted in other threads. He doesn't want complaints about not getting the game the maps says if changes are made later in the week. If you provide links you can always see the most current information.

Ryche 09-07-2007 07:52 PM

I need the Vikings to get off to a good start or I'll be stuck watching them in Denver bars every week. Although I guess that's not the worst thing in the world.
