Hey noop,

What can you tell me about Miami Northwestern HS? They are making the trip to Dallas to take on Southlake Carroll in a huge interstate game that will be shown on ESPNU. Southlake can set the Texas big school record for consecutive wins at 50 if they win the game. They are a ridiculous 80-1 since moving to the 5A level in 2002.

Well if you give me a few days I can write out an detailed report about "Da West" as it if called here. However a quick overview is simple, they are very talented and very deep. They have a few juniors who are better then their highly rated seniors and I believe two sophmores who will be 5 stars if they continue to progress.

However it should be noted that they did lose their coaching staff so they are learning to deal with a different and not new way of coaching.(The current head coach was their head coach and then moved to another hugh school only to come back after Coach Rolle got fired.)

Cool, thanks for the info. Southlake's coach left to become head coach at North Texas this year, but they've set up a football factory there. Every school in the district, starting in middle school, runs the same system, so once they make it to high school, they've been coached in the system for 4 to 6 years. So most folks are figuring that the coaching transition will be smooth.

Sounds like the game should be a good one.

A couple of things. I coach a pee wee team in Southlake. We run the same system.

Check out this gem given to coaches around the system.

QB Training

Isn't this school the same as the one from the Year of the Bull?

NSFW!!!

Thanks for the PPT, Sen. Good to know that one of their offensive goals is "Outscore Opponents" (final slide). :D

It was a great game to be at. Southlake's winning streak ends at 49. They turned the ball over half a dozen times.

Miami brings the woodshed when they gang tackle.

#1 Miami 29 #2 Southlake Carroll (Texas) 21

How did Jacory Harris look?

Looks like he's gonna be a Canes recruit, and we sure could use a QB.

Pure stud. He was the best player on the field last night.

Harris threw for four touchdowns and 282 yards, completing 21 of 28 passes.
