Character Flags

I've been reading some of the older threads on this topic and I was wondering if anyone has any insight on the pos/neg impact on a team. More specifically, I was wondering if anyone knows if a coach's discipline can directly effect the disruptive nature of a red flagged player?

No way of knowing. The only things we know for sure is that a small percentage of players are given a little red flag icon and that this may or may not mean jack-shit. How do you test that, exactly?

Given the time of the season when the Red Flag is generated (begin FA1 when draft class is generated), it's well nigh impossible to isolate on it in normal testing. It would take someone figuring out how to hack the game to turn the Red Flag on and off. And I get the impression both from the help file ("potential clubhouse disrupter") and from a whole bunch of SP seasons that it's something that doesn't always have an impact.

Again, I'll echo what both Dutch and SD said in that we really don't know and have really no way to test red-flags.

However, (with no knowledge and testing using only common sense, fwiw), I believe that red flag players would have little impact on a solid affinity team (one where players have multiple affinities with position leaders and little conflicts) and would have a significant impact on teams with little to no locker room affinity or a team with many conflicts.

Again, I've only based this opinion on the limited information given by the help file, and previous studies done on this board testing the impact of affinities/conflicts. IIRC, even those studies just testing the impact of affinities/conflicts came back that personality has "some" effect, but it's hard to quantify.
