I can't not watch this movie when it's on.

I used to be like you. But It got too emotionaly draining. I can't cry like that anymore, it wears me out. Best movie ever though.

Shorty, you can come over and play catch with me and my son anytime.

There's no crying in baseball!

This was the first movie that ever made me cry. I saw it in the theater, so I must have been 14 or 15. The part that got me was when Ray got the opportunity to play catch with his dad. I never realized how much my parents' divorce messed with me until that moment. Knowing that I wasn't ever going to play catch with my dad, and seeing the joy on both of their faces made me weep like a schoolgirl.

I own the movie, but I haven't watched it in years. I really should, especially now that I've got kids of my own (and I'm not going anywhere).

I haven't seen it since my dad died about a year and a half ago. I'm going to sob when it's on next.

This movie is the Derek Jeter of baseball movies, overrated.
