what's your favorite season ( time of the year)

With today being the first day of Fall ( my favorite season) I figured I would see what seasons everyone else like.

rowech 09-23-2007 10:10 AM

Let's be honest....here are the seasons:

Baseball
Football
Hockey/Basketball

sterlingice 09-23-2007 10:24 AM

I just don't like fall that much as it's anticipation of winter, which is easily my least favorite season. Tho, living in Kansas has changed my opinion from when I lived in Houston. I always liked Summer for not being in school but the weather's a bit different- I was ok with the cool and rainy unlike I dread the ice here.

Late fall, early winter. The time when we have pro football, college football, and college basketball all going on. Heaven, it is...

Heh...I didn't think for a second that this thread was about the actual seasons. If we're talking about that, I probably have to go with spring. Cool enough to keep the windows open and the electric bill down, sunny enough to go swimming. Good times.

spleen1015 09-23-2007 11:05 AM

Fall.

NFL and NCAA basketball.

MikeVic 09-23-2007 11:38 AM

Summer. Don't have to dress up in layers.

But I like the NFL season the most out of sports.

path12 09-23-2007 11:41 AM

Well, Seattle only really has gray and not as gray for seasons, but I picked fall anyway because I like the leaves changing.

MizzouRah 09-23-2007 11:43 AM

I love spring time.

StarBuck 09-23-2007 11:46 AM

Spring and Fall. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Spring, the longer days and the beautiful fragrance of the acacias blooming in late spring here is heavenly. And it's nice out without the oppressive NJ humidity.

MJ4H 09-23-2007 11:47 AM

summer. im a teacher.

Passacaglia 09-23-2007 11:53 AM

Either fall or winter.

SirFozzie 09-23-2007 11:54 AM

Wabbit Season!

sterlingice 09-23-2007 12:08 PM

Duck Season!

SI's a hunter?!? Wow, that's not something I would have ever guessed...

sterlingice 09-23-2007 12:25 PM

Um... no, not a hunter. But I do know my Looney Tunes. C'mon, Jeeber. :D

I imagine it must be hard to keep up with the half of the posts on the board that you don't make ;)

Summer is definitely my favorite. Long days, warm nights..Girls in less clothing...

Raiders Army 09-23-2007 01:44 PM

Fall. Football and it's cooling down. 'nuff said.

Lorena 09-23-2007 01:57 PM

I enjoy colder weather, football playoffs and SuperBowl so I voted winter. Although Fall was pretty close since it's the beginning and the meat of the football season.

Young Drachma 09-23-2007 02:45 PM

If I was still back east, I'd say fall. But now that I live in Wyoming, summer is the only season here that I can deal with. Because there isn't really a fall here or a spring. Just winter and summer. It snows or it's sunny. Not a whole lot of in-between.

WABBIT SEASON!

CU Tiger 09-23-2007 03:02 PM

College football and deer hunting.
My two hobbies/passions and only in the fall...

Izulde 09-23-2007 03:29 PM

Fall. To me, new beginnings don't occur with the new year or even with the springtime.

It occurs in autumn.

I also dig the color changes and football, which is probably the thing I most from the US over here. (That and good pizza).

Second favorite is a tie between winter and summer. If I lived someplace warm, but where it still snowed and was cloudy occasionally, then winter would be solely #2.

Last and least is spring.

I freaking *hate* spring.

Me too. Must an instinctual inner clock. "Back in the old days", the new year was this time of year.

Andiamo 09-23-2007 03:47 PM

Definitely winter when you can stay in and watch football and you get Christmas!

Winter shouldn't count in Texas. ;)

GrantDawg 09-23-2007 05:32 PM

Where the fuck did they ship you off to?

k0ruptr 09-23-2007 05:48 PM

wtf are seasons? all I know is 80 degrees and sunny all year long.

CamEdwards 09-23-2007 05:52 PM

Even though I hate the constant raking of leaves, fall in Virginia is the best time of year. I love the fact that it lasts for a couple of months, as opposed to the two weeks of autumn you get in Oklahoma.

Nice days, crisp nights, Halloween, football, girls wearing thin sweaters with skirts and boots, watching your kids play in the leaves, etc. Yeah, this is the best time of year.

That's your reward for living in a climate that will never produce a Heisman-winning quarterback.

k0ruptr 09-23-2007 06:11 PM

lmao. booo
