Um, much as I'd love for it to be true that GWB had anything to do with this, if you read the Snopes article you'll find that is not the case...

I did misread the last paragraph. It doesn't matter though. I still think it's a great story and wouldn't blame anyone for getting caught by it since it was pre internet by quite a while and people didn't necessarily have so much information quickly available.

It's funny until you really consider it. Do we really want legislators to spend any time dealing with these puff resolutions? Ideally, they wouldn't be introduced at all. Failing that, it seems prudent to get them out of the way as quickly as possible.
