Why I don't need a quiz to tell me I'm a nerd...
my top 6 start menu items:
6: OOTP 2007 5: Excel 2007 4: FOF 2007 3: Visual Studio 2005 2: DC++ and number 1? Notepad. sigh. |
That's okay DD - we don't need quizzes either to tell you're a nerd. :D
|
I've got you beat, I have both notepad AND command prompt in mine, plus utorrent and OOTP2007, excel and Money.
|
If you're bragging about being a nerd, you're also a dork.
|
I didn't know DC++ was still around, I used to use that years ago.
|
That's at work, though... I use it far more than my home machine, and I have a mac at home. :) |
If it makes you feel any better, I spent most of the time during Alex's birthday party looking up LEGO sets on the net and discussing them with two of the other dads that were there.

now why would that make anyone feel better? |
Notepad kicks ass. Between that and using an HTML editor to do TXT files (since it's always open) I do 90% of my writing in plain text.

At least you're not talking about which LEGO sets were the best ones when you are over 30 years old. |
Since the layoff....
1. WWSM07 2. WWSM08 Editor 3. WWSM08 4. SciTE 5. OpenOffice Calc 6. WinAmp :D :D: :D :D :D :D |
Editpad Lite > Notepad
And it's free. |
Man, that makes me feel like shit for all the hundreds I shelled out on notepad.
|
Look on the bright side, at least microsoft bundle a semi-competent OS along with notepad.

Using a Mac makes you less of a nerd. Using a Linux based operating system makes you more of a nerd. |
My list of applications I use the most:
Adobe Audition 1.5 Adobe After Effects 6.5 Adobe Photoshop CS GIMP 2.4 (The new version of this open source program kicks ass) Macromedia Flash MX 2004 WeBuilder 2007 (for my XHTML, CSS and PHP needs) WAMPServer (for running PHP & MySQL locally) TightVNC (to access your home computer from another) OpenOffice (Microsoft office alternative) Firefox (web browser) Thunderbird (email client) FileZilla (FTP application) Rainlendar (calendar software) RightLoad (allows you to FTP files by right clicking on it and selecting the server) ...and these that get the most use. |
