DEXTER Season Two Discussion
 

I realize it's already near 5 or so episodes in, but it's been such a good season and there is much to discuss. I have a question though, that hopefully someone can answer because I'm a bit fuzzy from last season: Why does Dex cut his victim's face for a blood sample before killing?

I think that's part of his ritual because it's his way to remember each victim. That's just my guess because I don't recall any explanation through a flashback to Harry's training. Whatever the reason, Dexter seems very attached to that box of slides; he kept it even when he panicked a bit and ditched his other equipment.
