To his credit he does say to give fair warning and do this only as the last resort with a 'toothpick'.

I especially love when we pick the stupidest people in a country and pretend they speak for a big segment of the population and are perfect for making a stereotype with.

You know, like when other people look at our president the dunce or former president sex addict or senator picks-up-guys-in-an-airport-bathroom or actor-who-loves-racial-slurs or athlete-who-beats-his-wife or...

So, presidents don't speak for a big segment of the population? WTF?

"He should not beat her on the hand... He should beat her in some places where it will not cause any damage."

This is probably the wrong response, but wouldn't the hand show the least bruising? Maybe I'm not taking the whole burka and public knowledge angle into account, but in my lacrosse experience the arms/legs bruise a the easiest. Shurg.

I wasn't trying to stereotype, I though it was hilarious how serious the guy seemed to be.

However, I can see how you may perceive it as such and I apologize.

Now that you bring it up, it is an interesting question, I wonder if there exists a poll on whether male/female Muslim faithful believe in this.

Actually, that's a really good point. Elected officials do represent a large segment of the population for the good and the bad. Perhaps I should have just stuck to celebrities as that would have been a more apples-to-apples comparison.

I wasn't putting this at your feet, moreso the news outlet. But it's silly to expect anything more from Fox News.

And with that correction I agree with your point. :)

The stick I beat my wife with is much larger than the stick he uses....

What part of the story are you reading? There is nothing in the story that makes any claims that this person speaks for any society.

Fox News may have done plenty of things to be criticized for but I hardly see this as one of them. I hope you didn't strain anything trying to twist this into something more than what it is, a filler story like you will find on any news site.
