Xbox Live Points
 

Where the hell do I buy Xbox Live Points online? Their website says you can buy them in the Marketplace, but I find no ability or link for the "Marketplace" that they claim to have them buyable at. Not online from my computer, nor from the Xbox 360 itself.

*shakes fist*

Once you've created an XBox Live account for yourself, on the Marketplace tab, go to Account Management, then Memberships, then hit X to add Microsoft points. There you can redeem a code you have from a thingie you buy in the store (or are otherwise given) or you can buy them there in increments of 500 ($6.25).

My three year old niece somehow figured out how to order $50 work of points. The scary thing was, she was just hitting buttons on the controller. The TV wasn't on at the time. I went back to figure out just what combination she had to hit, and you are right, it is not blatantly obvious where you have to go to buy more points.

Pick any item that you want to buy on the Marketplace. There should be, once you're on the screen where it's prompting you to "Download Item," a thing at the bottom with the blue button logo that says "Add Microsoft Points." That's the easy way to do it if it's spur-of-the-moment.

If you're just saying "meh, want to add points," it's much more obtuse, yes.
