FOFC Buffalo Meet and Greet??? (March 19)

Ok, so the financee and I are going to the Sabres/Lightning game on March 19th. I know the idea of a Buffalo meet and greet has been floated out there and a couple people said it'd be good to do around a Sabres game. Since I finally found out what game we are going to I thought I'd throw this out there.

I went to school out there so I'm familiar with the area. Doesn't nescessarily have to be at the Sabres game tho it could. We could do something at the Galleria or somehwere else too...

MacroGuru 12-25-2007 09:13 AM

If I am in town then, I will definately be game for it.

NoSkillz 12-26-2007 05:10 PM

Damn. I sold my tickets already for this game, otherwise I definitely would be there. :(

RendeR 12-26-2007 10:01 PM

I'll check with Telle, but I think we'd be up for meeting either for the game if we can find tickets or perhaps before or after for food/drinks. We'll let you know!!
(we live literally like 3 minutes from the Gallaria Mall....)

MacroGuru 12-26-2007 10:31 PM

Wife and I are up here to check things out until the 31st, I am working Thurs and Friday but after that...we have time...

Chubby 12-26-2007 10:48 PM

Yeah we are totally up for meeting up before or after. It certainly doesn't have to be at the game itself.

RendeR 01-17-2008 06:14 PM

Ok, Telle and I will be at the game! Got some nice seats from my supervisor who has season tix.

Everyone note when and where you'd like to get together, have a drink, dinner, whatever =)

kingnebwsu 01-17-2008 11:43 PM

Wish it was last year at that time. I was at the Wright State tournament game at HSBC arena in Buffalo last year. I'll be with you guys in spirit though :)

Chubby 01-18-2008 04:41 AM

For us, it doesn't matter. We can meet whereever. We usually stop at the Main St Delta Sonic for a snack on the way to park (we park in the same lot every time about 2 blocks up from the Aud.) and since I am a store supervisor now at Delta I'll def be stopping in to look around quick before the game. I'm familiar with the area so as long as it's not obscure I'm not worried about finding where to go :)

RendeR 02-25-2008 04:36 PM

Ok people, we're 3 weeks out on this thing, how many of us are going to be around to meet and/or go to the game?

Telle and I have tickets already.

Chubby 02-25-2008 04:42 PM

Obviously me and the woman have tickets :)

Galaxy 02-25-2008 04:56 PM

I would love to make it. However, I'll likely be out-of-town that week. Hopefully the re-match is as exciting as last week's game.

RendeR 03-05-2008 05:44 PM

Ok kewl, so thus far its Chubby and his Fiance and Telle and I going to the game.

Do we want to meet for dinner or sometihng before the game or take in the game then head to Pearl Street for food and drink after?

We're 2 weeks out now, lets make some plans people =)

Chubby 03-05-2008 10:04 PM

Well considering I'm a cradle robber (she's 20) probably dinner then the game is best IMO since us old farts can drink at a restaurant :D I'm up for ideas tho.

MacroGuru 03-05-2008 10:29 PM

Wish I was going to be in town at the time.

However, I will officially be living in Buffalo as of April 7.

Thats fine, what area are you most comfortable in? We're in Cheektowaga, near the city line, so we're convenient to everything. What kind of dinner you interested in? We've got a number of favorite places and there are always the chain restaraunts available along Walden ave.

As for Cradle Robbing, well I'll just keep my mouth shut =)

I'm familiar with Cheektowaga, anything over there is probably fine with us as I just had to go to the Walden Delta Sonic for a meeting last week and I used to work at the Galleria Wegmans back in the day. I was quite pleased to find out that there was a Mighty right next door :D A Rochester DM had to stop there for food to bring back to a supervisor as well heh.

I don't remember what restaurants are over there but I know there's a ton.

Chubby 03-14-2008 03:45 PM

We are probably going to the Walden Delta Sonic during the day to get stuff done on the car and say hi to people. No really set time but we plan on being there around noon-ish so anytime after that we will be in the area.

RendeR 03-15-2008 01:26 PM

Sounds good, wy don't we meet up at the TGI Fridays on Walden around say 4:30-5-ish?

I'll PM you my cell number so we can connect up. Have some dinner there then head into town for the game.

RendeR 03-19-2008 11:31 PM

Ok, just to get this out there:

All you folks that couldn;t make the game or just meeting up? Y'ALL SUCK =)

We had a really awesome time with Chubby and his Banker ;) Had dinner before the game and met up again right after a freaking AWESOME 7-4 comeback Sabres victory for some drinks at the Pearl Street bar n Grill.

The game was rockin, the company was excellent and you all missed out. So you suck =)

I can definitely say we're up for doing this again sometime, perhaps for a Bills game in the fall?

Chubby 03-20-2008 10:19 AM

Yeah that was a lot of fun. Sucks to be everyone that missed an awesome game. Down 4-1 after two and Sabres score 6 in the 3rd.

We should def do something for a Bills game. Maybe a sunday will be easier for people to make it. Tailgate before the game and all, we'll have to pick the right game so we don't watch the Bills get hammered :)

You confused? He was talking about going to see the Bills, not the Bengals.

This is why we don't watch bengals/Bills games in the same room or general locatio as one another. yer just mean ;)

NoSkillz 03-20-2008 02:59 PM

Man, that was quite the game I missed! Never would have thought I'd miss fireworks like that at a Tampa game! Oh well.

Hopefully I'll be able to join you guys next time you get together.

MacroGuru 03-20-2008 03:43 PM

Wish I had been there already....I was at the game against the Lightning when they came back to win it in OT...this would have been awesome..

stevew 03-20-2008 05:21 PM

I've been meaning to go see the Bills get pummeled as well, so I might be game. However it's gotta be before late october....fuck freezing when I can watch it in HD on my couch.

I don't really live that far away, so I can see doing it, as long as gas doesn't hit 9 bucks a gallon or somethign stupid.
