Ping: Austin peeps

Need to know if anyone who has been to the Frank Erwin Center remembers they layout enough to tell me what section/seats would be better? This is in the South Stage setup.

Level A, section 49, row 31

Level A, section 46, row 4

The section 49 looks like it might almost be off to the side too much, or in a corner kind of. Just wondering what might be a better view, especially when it involves an 8 year old girl.

If anyone has been there but just can't remember the layout well enough, here is a link to the seat map.

Thanks.*

I don't remember the exact seats, but from that map, I'm pretty sure I sat in Section 46 way back when I saw U2 play there when I was going to school. I think it more depends on the stage set up (open, or does it have lots of props) to determine if the Sec. 49 seats are too much to the side. But they are higher up, so that helps with the angle as well.

lol. Yes indeed. Thankfully I won't be there, I will be at a hotel on FOFC probably. :D

The wife bought four tickets because a friend wanted two, but has since backed out. My wife is now trying to decide which ones she wants to sell since Austin tickets seem to be going for about $600 online.

I watch it with my daughter sometimes. It's actually not horrible for a kid's show.

You're not comfortable enough to admit you watch Hannah Montana.

or

You know how you know you don't have kids?

You don't think you'd ever watch Hannah Montana.

Wow. That's just crazy. I'm pretty sure I will never love my kids enough to pay $600 for seats to anything

We didn't pay that much. We paid regular price. At $600 I might take her and let her stand outside for a while.

sterlingice 01-12-2008 04:16 PM

(well, yeah, I was kindof referring to the crazies who would pay that much)

The Hannah Montana crap just started, just dropped the wife and kid there for the pregame tailgating. Ended up selling two of the tickets for $320, about a $170 profit.

More interesting is that our hotel is right across the freeway from the venue and has tons of parents with kids going to see this chick. SOme pretty hot moms. Too bad some of them let their kids dress like complete whores. Then again, some of the moms have some nice cleavage hanging out for what I consider a little kid's concert so I guess their kids having on the same clothes shouldn't surprise me. The moms make me wish I had gone. The kids make me glad I didn't.
