If the Patriots Lose, I blame Amazon and the Boston Globe

This is an email a co-worker of mine received. Yes, I know it's the Boston Globe and not the Pats, but this is the biggest cart before the horse thing ever. THIS would be bulletin board material. If the Pats get jinxed by this, I will be a VERY unhappy Fozzie.

I love it!

albionmoonlight 01-28-2008 10:53 AM

WTF would someone preorder one of those things anyway? It's not like they won't be available for $2.00 two weeks after the game when the Globe is trying to sell out its overstock.

(Which isn't any comment on Boston fans. Just that whenever a team wins a championship in any city, you can walk into any grocery store a month later and see shelves of "Discounted Championship Merchandise" up front.)

Think of all the poor, innocent trees that were killed in making all these useless books.

Wow.

molson 01-28-2008 11:03 AM

So what happens if I pre-order it and they don't win?

rkmsuf 01-28-2008 11:05 AM

Must have some amazing writers over there to come up with the last chapter so quick.

Chapter 19 - The Superbowl

They won.

The end.

They pop in the the actual articles that they write for the next day's paper, throw a bunch of pictures in, and done.

(if the Pats win, of course)

I preordered two of these. I also put in preorders for the 2008 University of Memphis basketball championship photo book, the 2011 AFC Pro Bowl championship hat, the 2015 Brandon Marshall Super Bowl MVP commemorative coin, and the 2026 Brett Favre DVD entitled "His Final Season."

Where's the 2010 Patrick Ewing NBA Hall of Fame Induction sweater? :(

I went from not caring about the Super Bowl to cheering for the Giants so we can all look back at this offer and laugh.

I hope you become a regular poster. The internets is friendly to trees. Unless we print out a coupon or something.

It's a joke account, created to mock me.

I cannot post a lot. I don't want to be traced. It took over a year last time for the bark to grow back.

Sometimes late at night when I am rooted, I hear the crowd roar in the distance. The autumn wind blows, I tremble in fear...

If there is a God, the Pats will win. I know if they don't, Tom Brady won't be the only one in the New England area sporting a boot on his root.

All the more reason for it to become a regular!

People still buy these types of books? I saw an article regarding the 2006 New York Giants, and it appears as though there were 10 books written about the team. What gives?
