OOTP5 FOFC league options
 

hey, all, since I volunteered to run a FOFC OOPT5 league, just wondering how everybody wanted to handle it. I have web space, and VTBub has graciously offered us message board space, so we can take care of buisness there.

The way I see it, we have four options for starting the league:

A) A Career 2002 league.. I would go with this, but it seems like every league out there does things this way.

B) After getting all twelve teams into the league, start in 1950 (or some other year) with fictional players, and sim to 2002 (to provide a league history, and to validate all the players, rather then just pregenerate them). Then in 2002, release all the players to the free agent pool and draft them to teams

C) Same start as B (Fictional players, 50 years of simming to provide the league a history), but instead of drafting them, just hand out the teams as they are, and go from there (so the league would be unbalanced at first, but that's not so bad, as the online league will take care of a lot of that.

D) A fictional league, start in 2002, no history, with or without an initial draft

Wow.. big upgrade from 2 to 5 for the 2002 Career Leaguers.. Wish I could see who voted how ;)

I like to see a history. But a history with a redraft would just be silly, IMO.
