Draft Question
OK, you are in the 5th round of the draft. You have two guys at a position who are about the same in every respect except one... one guy is 20% developed and one is 50% developed.
Is it OBVIOUS to take the 50% guy? Would you take the 50% guy even if the 20% guy was slightly better? Overall, how much does this number affect your decisions? |
50% guy hands down every time, all things being equal.
|
Gets tough when overall they are similar, but on subratings the 20% guy is better at skills you covet than the 50% guy. I run into at least one of those every draft and it kills me when the 20% guy turns out to be a 35/55 and the 50% guy is like 27/56.
|
I didn't know exactly how this worked. I was thinking they'd both have the same or similar current numbers, but potentials would be higher, so the 20% guy would be the better long term pick. I see now that I misinterpreted the system and can see the 50% guy is the best value most of the time.

Check the help file for more guidance. Essentially, the 50% guy is less of a risk, bottom line. In many instances, they may end up the same, but it is more likely to happen with the 50% guy.
