This conencts to my "getting laid off " thread from ten days ago. Well, thank god. I just accepted an offer with a great company (McAfee) and am looking at a pay raise from my last job of 15%-30% depending on the bonus. Plus half of the time I can telecommute from home. Happy day.

Yes, that is the best thing. we can still move to Colorado since I don't have work in an office but from home or do some traveling.

I just want to say two things. first off, it is funny how many private, emotional and/or deeply private things; I talk about here on the board, often before I speak to any of my friends or family about it. I guess it shows how much this board means to many of us. That isn't saying that "most" of us couldn't do without FOFC boards it's just that it is a seems to be a great place to blow steam off or (as in this case) pat oneself on the back...........The second point kind of connects to the first. I have appreciated all the sincere responses people have given me over the years, whether it was during happy times like this and when my kids were born or in sad times such as when my father passed away. I know at times I have pissed off more than a few folks here on the board like we all have know and then but I just wanted to say to any I may have offended that was only meant in good fun and no spite was intended. So, here is to you my loyal FOFCers ( lifts his Guiness to his mouth).

Yeah, may wife is happiest. After the way my previous job left me anging with a "you could be laid off" thing for 10 days and then tell me after ten day yeah you are laid off and your term papers are in the mail I happy.
