i want to share a 500MB file with a friend, and rather than try to search for a program to condense it further i think it'd just be easier to try to find a way to upload it somewhere so he can download it. i don't have a website, but is there such a filesharing thing that would allow a 500MB transfer? thanks.

yes. There are a bunch with different limits. I saw a listing of them a few days ago somewhere. TBH I can't remember but I know one had a 500mb limit and one had 1gb I think.
