Calling a Timeout?
 

Newbie question. I like the game and played it. However, the timeout feature did not work well for me as the clock quickly ran out. What is the proper procedure to utilize the timeout?

If I understand your question, i.e. you called timeout by clicking the timeout button but a lot of time bled off the clock anyway, my suggestion would be to run the hurry up offense around the time when the time you think you're going to be needing to calling, e.g. near the 2 minute warning in the first half and in the last 3-4 minutes of a game where you're losing and will need to stop the clock.
