Season outlooks

RB Jace Hunter (4/5) - The Utah Utes have a capable offense that is now spearheaded by Jace Hunter. This is a balanced offense where the rough and tumbling Hunter should be capable of putting up huge numbers.

RB Kyle Wesley (4/5) - The UCLA Bruins use a run 'n gun offense headlined by 5/5 QB Donald Williams, but true freshman Kyle Wesley will be their starting RB to open up the season. Wesley's combination of size and speed should compliment the strong arm of Williams and give UCLA a lethal attack.

QB Dan Wilson (4.5/4.5) - North Texas also uses a run n' gun offense, but with new signal caller Dan Wilson expect more run then gun. He isn't a great thrower but can run with the best of them and should help the Eagles become the team to beat in the Sun Belt.

WR Dayne Ho (3.5/4.5) - The starting SE to open up the season for Syracuse, he is in a great situation as Syracuse runs a Vertical offense headlined by QB Jason Garcia (5/5). Ho should put up big #s at the Cuse.

WR Al Mighty (4/5) The freshman has two good WR's in front of him but will be starting in the slot, and at PR & KR for the Longhorns. They run a balanced offense but like to utilize three WR sets so expect to see big numbers in Austin.

RB John Williams (4/5) The freshman phenom Williams steps right into the starters role in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines balanced offense will provide ample carries for the youngster to make his mark.

QB Ron Nielsen (3.5/4.5) Nielsen will be a backup to start as a Cal Bear. Cal runs the run n' gun offense and SR signal caller Dave Carl (5/5) is a Heisman candidate. Still, Nielsen will probably see some time this year before taking the reigns over next season.

QB Sam Jolley (4/4.5) Jolley is slated as the backup for Northwestern right now but do not expect it to last. Their version of the run n gun relies on a QB with a big arm and he has that in abundance. The difference between he and the incumbant starter is just experience but soon expect that to give way to talent.

Avery Thomas (3.5/5) leads a Hawaii 3-4 D that relies on it's two outside backers to do damage. Hawaii is a young team that will struggle early but with their twin terrors at OLB (Jon Wells the other) expect to see some QB's knocked out of some games.

Goldrin Goldberg (3.5/4.5) anchors a Stanford West Coast Offense that is sure to put up some points. Unfortunatley their D won't stop many people. Still, it'll be good experience for Goldberg as he developes into a QB.

Jeff Nights (4/5) anchors a 4-6 D where he plays the main ILB position. He isn't the most athletic guy but he just makes tackles and expect a big year if CMU is going to win the MAC Title.

Sean Treacy (3.5/5) is the starting RB/KR/PR for Hawaii. He is out of place in their vertical passing game but thankfully he can catch the ball so he should provide a double threat assuming Hawaii uses him correctly. He has the ability to break a game open at any time.

Deacon Palmer (4.5/5) is the PCB for the Crimson Tide's 4-6 D. He is expected to be one of the most impactful freshman in the entire Nation this year and on pure talent alone he'll be a star. Once he learns the game, he'll be at another level.

Ryan Omark (3.5/4.5) is the most talented guy Rutgers entire D. The 4-3 D package of the Knights will allow for Omark to stop the run and hopefully help defend the pass, but with all their problems everywhere else, Omark won't be able to make every play nessecary for RU to be a potent team.
