We are just finishing our first season. As usual with all first seasons of a league, you get a lot of attrition. We experienced our fair share too.

We are going to finalize the championship tomorrow, then we will be rolling into the end of season/new season roles.

We look forward to anyone that wants to play...it's relaxed, has some trash talking going, and it is fun...

This is a very fun league with a great deal of active owners. I encourage anyone that is willing to submit their files on schedule to join. There are some great teams available right now and our commish is good about running the sims. We have very active forums and good smack talk. Hope to see some additional owners soon!

I agree. Nice little league going here, especially with the Pikeys back in full force next year (any UK players will appreciate the name Im sure...)

Edit: Some of the teams may be scary to take over, but please understand this. We started with a full blown preference draft. Those teams are set that way because the initial owners took them thay route.

The only one taken so far from the waiting list has been Indiana.

We have an active group of guys all are committed to the league and enjoy being there. We would truly love to fill up these teams before the draft.

We sim 2 games a week, we are custom teams, real players to start. All drafts will be game generated until the next NFL draft is released. So this draft we are having is using the 2008 NFL Draft.

I'll continue the bumps. I joined several weeks ago, my first MP league, and have had a great time. Great core of guys. We're moving into late free agency, and training camp. Teams still available! Act now! :D

Alright, I know I said I wouldn't bump again but I would like to fill the 8 remaining teams as we head into the 2nd season...

And with some of the new owners brought in, it's getting really interesting already.

FYI, I was unable to register on your forums. After agreeing to the terms it told me the username was already taken--before I even entered one.

I added some anti spam hacks to the phpBB this past week, I am wondering if that is the problem.

It is fixed, it was an overzealous spam deletion to where I accidently deleted the default anonymous user that isn't supposed to be deleted.

Week 1 of the 2008 season is going to start on Friday, we have 8 teams open. Read about them in the forums.

We are starting to solidify as a league and we have a great group of guys, we just need to round it out and get some of these teams off of computer control.

bump, best league ever

Just letting everyone know we have 5 teams open and are hitting week 4 of the regular season, the teams are giving some of the owners a run for their money under computer control, imagine what you could do....

For those that might be interested, here's a quick rundown on each available team:

Boston Massacre
11-5 last season, Boston is 2-1 so far this season. Donovan McNabb is targetting Andre Johnson and has a solid 90+ QB rating. They only have a couple positional weaknesses and are a great team for someone who wants to win more than lose but still have room to positively influence the season.

Cleveland Griffins
The Griffins went 500 last season and are up 2-1 this season. The team has some solid personnel but is aging. This is a great team for someone who likes to build through the draft.

Fenris Wolves
With a promising young Alex Brink at QB, DeAngelo Williams running the ball, and Gaines Adams stuffing the opposing offense, Fenris has some great unrealized potential in the hands of a master gameplanner. With a mix of rookies and age in the starting line-up, this team could be developed in several ways depending on the owner's philosophy.

Charleston Hillbillies
Despite having an awesome name, Charleston needs help from a rebuilder. Suffering from mediocrity, the Hillbillies are a great choice for someone who likes to scrape their way up from the bottom. Look at it this way, you can't have it worse than the guy who just took St. Louis.

Duluth Artic Cats
All-League First Team RB LaDainian Tomlinson leads the running game for Duluth who went 9-7 last year. A mix of sparking young players and smoldering veterans, the Cats' personnel provides great tinder for an owner who wants to light the league on fire. (And I'll bet the commisioner will even fix the spelling of 'Arctic' if you pick up the team.)

I would love to take the Charleston team if it is still available! Sounds like my kind of project.

Lets get all the team human owners.

We're now heading in to Week 11 of the second season. It is a great time to join and prepare for the upcoming off-season!

There are three teams open and two are in very important positions:

The Duluth Arctic Cats lead the AC South where last year's champion languishes in last place. They're on the verge of being a breakout team next year.

The Boston Massacre are in second in the very tough (and very owner-involved) NC East division. Full of amazing personnel they have one of the best running games and best pass defenses in the league. McNabb has a few seasons left to win a ring with this team.

Also available is the Cleveland Griffins. This average team neads a builder who can maneuver to bring in young talent next year and grow the squad.

agreed, and I will add that this is the best league I have ever been apart of. the owner participation is great, and so is the smack talk. With a very sound and ridiculuosly dedicated commisioner.

It looks like a great team has opened up in addition to the three I posted about a week ago. The Texas Toros are led on offense by a 74/74 Ben Roethlisberger and 63/63 Cadillac Williams. Defensively, they feature Glenn Dorsey, Bobby Carpenter, and Michael Huff. Injuries have been an issue this season and they stand at 6-5, but are well positioned for a run at the championship next year with the right GM to lead them through the off-season. Overall, they have a solid youthful roster and a good draft will only make them better.

Kenora was our season 1 champ and ran it undefeated, the owner left to play ball for real in the CFL, so no grudges there..

We are just getting ready to wrap up the 2008 regular season and we have 4 teams currently available:

More may open up, but I think not as we are pretty solid with the teams there. So, claim them now so you can help them grow through the draft and free agency.

Just a litle bump, week 17 is simmed next Tuesday, I will post the draft pick situations for this upcoming draft for the vacant teams, I know Charleston has a nice selection of picks.

Guys, you really don't want to miss out on a fresh season of this league. We have an incredibly dedicated group of GMs and a fantastic commish. Good teams are open!

Out of these teams, Charleston has the most in draft pick, Cleveland has a lot of talent, that is, until free agency hits.
