CM4 Gold Demo now available

SI have just released the Gold Demo of CM4 and it can be downloaded from their website (22.2MB)

Wow, Good luck getting anywhere near the site.

Does anyone know if the 2D match engine will be fully active in this demo (instead of the "highlight" version in the beta demo)?

I just tried downloading, but the speed is so slow even with DSL, so I will wait until After midnight UK time (7pm EST) and try again then.

Try that second site. They have a west coast mirror and it is working nicely.

just noticed when starting and it wants your details, the nationality defaults to Afghan - Oops methinks their QA team should have mentioned that one as probably not the best idea these days :D

i know you aren't being exactly serious here, but the CM market is almost exclusively european. i should think most people don't even notice / care.

I think this new interface is going to take some getting use to.

And did anyone else notice Freddy Adu is in the game? Yep. Parma and a spanish side were trying to sign him.

oh and if you need a backup GK try Manuel Martin a french GK/Scout :D(should have been virtual staff, generated after a few seasons, but I don't know why he's already in the game at the beginning)

Maybe I wasn't looking at the right place but I couldn't find where to set who I wanted to be my playmaker like I could in the previous version. Did it went the way of the Dodo or was the warning about me going blind finally came true?

The "playmaker" role seems to be gone. Marc has promised he will write a guide describing how to set up tactics to achieve the same things you could do in CM3 since it's a whole different system now.
