NFL Week 4!

Wow, don't see a thread yet anywhere for this..

Larry Johnson starts things off great for KC against Denver with a huge run in what has to be the largest hole I've ever seen in an offensive line.

Alan T 09-28-2008 12:11 PM

Of course KC, being KC settle only on a field goal after a huge run that put them in the red zone.

Thomkal 09-28-2008 12:12 PM

So those watching the Falcons/Panthers game, lame roughing the passer call against Peppers that negated a INT return for a TD?

Izulde 09-28-2008 12:15 PM

Rodgers to Jennings for a TD. Packers up 7-0.

saldana 09-28-2008 12:16 PM

packers TD...rodgers to jennings (ronde barber fell on some crappy looking sod)...barber may actually be hurt.

the sod at Raymond James is coming up in huge pieces.

Alan T 09-28-2008 12:16 PM

Denver fumble, KC has the ball back

saldana 09-28-2008 12:18 PM

thats great...i had to pick up a defense to cover my bye week (patriots) so i took denver, thinking KC would be as inept today as they have been all season

saldana 09-28-2008 12:20 PM

anyone else having problems with their feed from Fox in HD....mine keeps going to a signal pattern

KC is driving at the 4 yard line or something like that.. with a 2nd and 2..

Huard doesn't look bad at QB for KC, and LJ looks ok.. but that KC line sure looks bad most of the time (other than that one previously mentioned running play). Right now Denver just is looking sloppy like they were looking past this game or something.

Alan T 09-28-2008 12:21 PM

Well, so much for that.. got to the 3 yard line, and have to settle for another FG for KC.

saldana 09-28-2008 12:21 PM

browns v bengals looks like it may be one of the worst games in history

Izulde 09-28-2008 12:29 PM

Ref gets hit in the head by a Griese pass. :D

Alan T 09-28-2008 12:31 PM

I know that KC always plays Denver tough at home, but this Denver offense looks entirely different than the past few weeks.

MJ4H 09-28-2008 12:54 PM

Holy shit that was a big hit on the KC returner.

GrantDawg 09-28-2008 12:56 PM

The Falcons are keeping it close so far in Carolina. 7-6, with the last FG coming after a botched punt that ended up blocked.

kingfc22 09-28-2008 12:56 PM

J.T. needs to throw the ball away when he leaves the pocket...Taking way too many sacks on plays where the coverage leaves no options downfield.

just gets worse without Carson playing. Fitzy might look good in practice but he looks like shit right now.

JetsIn06 09-28-2008 01:04 PM

Weird...on NFL gametracker they have the score wrong. It's 21-0 Jets.

Edit: They just fixed it.

+1 How do they only show one replay?

Alan T 09-28-2008 01:06 PM

Another Denver catch -> Fumble -> turn over with a huge run back for KC to the 1 yard line.

DeToxRox 09-28-2008 01:12 PM

Packers really are not that good. Jesus the NFC North is awful.

DeToxRox 09-28-2008 01:12 PM

And as I say that, Rodgers picked again.

Alan T 09-28-2008 01:12 PM

TD KC (Larry Johnson) 12-7 lead pending extra point.

Passacaglia 09-28-2008 01:13 PM

Boos coming out in Green Bay as Rodgers throws his second pick.

GrantDawg 09-28-2008 01:13 PM

Stevie Smith just slashed the Falcons D big. 14-6, Panthers.

Huh? Game is in Tampa

Passacaglia 09-28-2008 01:14 PM

Wait, the game is in Tampa -- I guess they weren't booing. :p

Alan T 09-28-2008 01:15 PM

Maybe they were shouting "Moooooovers"

RUUUUUD'ing.

I know you heard plenty of BOOO's in Ann Arbor yesterday during the first half, but come on :)

hoopsguy 09-28-2008 01:19 PM

Lance Moore - fantasy football legend for a day. He has 2 TD receptions this afternoon. How many guys around here had any idea who this guy was before noon today?

I remember him at Toledo but had no idea he was even in the League.

JetsIn06 09-28-2008 01:24 PM

Jets score again and are dominating, 31-0 at the half.

GrantDawg 09-28-2008 01:26 PM

The Falcons get another FG after an amazing 40 yard run from Norwood. Two phantom holding calls cost them getting more out the drive.

Izulde 09-28-2008 01:30 PM

Am I ever glad I picked up Jason Elam for the Patriots bye week. :D

JetsIn06 09-28-2008 01:31 PM

Wow. We kick off with 10 seconds left, sack Warner, he fumbles for the 3rd time, we recover, and kick another FG. 34-0

Galaril 09-28-2008 01:32 PM

The Titans are playing well against the Vikings up 20-7 in the 2nd.

Thomkal 09-28-2008 01:32 PM

Guess staying on the east coast after the Washington game really payed off for my beloved Cards, sheesh.

He has some of the best hands in the NFL. Seriously. He is small and not very athletic though. He has been with the Saints for a few years, and now injuries has given him the chance to get more passes thrown his way.

Brees could make any WR a pro-bowler for a day.

Bearcat729 09-28-2008 02:08 PM

Derek Anderson sucks, and Crennel must realize he's going to get fired and there is no reason to try so thats why he's keeping him in the damn game.

GrantDawg 09-28-2008 02:09 PM

The Falcons are moving the ball a bit, but keep stalling out at mid-field. Usually it is a penalty that leaves them at Third and long, and this is just not good situation to keep putting your rookie QB in. I am very impressed with Ryan yet again, though. He's only made one huge mistake (which would been a pick 6 except for a penalty), and has made some good throws under pressure. He would have picked up the last third and long, if his fellow rookie Douglas would made an easy catch.

The Panthers are driving now, and will probably put this away.

GrantDawg 09-28-2008 02:15 PM

Falcons keep the Panthers out of the end zone, but they get 3. 17-9 Panthers.

Thomkal 09-28-2008 02:19 PM

Yeah Grant, this is the first good look I've had at Ryan, and he's holding his own for the most part. Lucky the INT he threw early in the game got called back, but otherwise seems to be playing with a lot of poise.

Thomkal 09-28-2008 02:20 PM

Cards have scored 21 points in the second half and if they somehow come back and beat the Jets after that disaster of a first half, I will never let my Jets-loving twin brother forget it :)

saldana 09-28-2008 02:21 PM

looks like aaron rodgers might be hurt...was holding his elbow...brohm is warming up

I'm actually losing 45-42 right now to QB and D-less Guy because of Edgerrin having 18 fantasy points.

saldana 09-28-2008 02:29 PM

woodson for INT-TD...packers will go ahead with the PAT

kcchief19 09-28-2008 02:46 PM

Hope T-Gon can get back in the game. Arrowhead will go crazy if he can get 25 more yards and pass Sharpe's career yardage records for TE against Denver.

Chiefs showing the Broncos are a 2-2 team, not a 4-0 team. How can you give up 24 points to the Chiefs?

Arles 09-28-2008 03:02 PM

The Packers are the walking infirmary. They've lost 3 DBs, 2 DL a LB and Rodgers is iffy to return.

EDIT: He returned and got rocked on a pass attempt that ended up getting picked. Ugh, one to forget for the Pack.

Jas_lov 09-28-2008 03:13 PM

You can say that again, Arles. One to forget. Clifton didn't have a good day. Only one of those INTs by Rodgers was a bad throw. I had so much promise for this game after the first drive, but then the wheels came off. If not for Brian Griese, it would have been a blowout. Still 2-2, Vikings lost, Chicago has a tough opponent tonight, and the Falcons are on the schedule for next week. Thank God for the NFC North.

EagleFan 09-28-2008 03:20 PM

Why the hell did the Jets go for 2 when they are up by 19 with under 2 minutes left in the game? Were they really that afraid that the Cardinals would score 2 touchdowns in about 110 seconds?
