Post Patch: Games a little screwy?
I don't think I am the only one, I could be wrong, but it seems like things are playing out differently in games since the patch has come out. There certainly seem to be a lot more big plays, things like blocked kicks and interceptions and fumbles being returned for TD's more often..
I can't be certain, personally, because all of us know how important sample size is with this game.. But I thought I would put this out there to see if anyone else felt the same. I also wonder a little if the change implemented to fix the mixed up columns in the defensive personnel screen hasn't affected how the defense is called. It seems like the gameplan I had developed that has consistently stopped the run and given up 3.5 yards or less is suddenly unable to stop the run at all. Again, sample size is a factor - Just getting a feel for what the general populace of this forum thinks. |
We just had our draft preview in the NAFL. 4 absolute stud QBs at the top of the class. Never seen anything even close to it before. Not sure if its just random luck.

I think it's random luck + coincidence.
I'm pretty sure stuff like that has a solid chance of happening before the patch. |
The only difference I have noticed is a lot more penalties on my offensive lines.

The first two weeks of WOOF have played out fairly well with the changes.

I am assuming that the game has some sort of algorithm to add the likelihood of a top class of a specific position to come out. Lets say all of the top tier RB's are all approaching 10+ years in the league....does the game factor this in meaning it increases the chance of producing a great class of RB's? Or is it really a "roll of the dice"? |
I strongly believe it's just a roll of the dice. I've done some specific testing to try to tease that out (to see if the game might be replacing IHOF's talent).
