New Historical League
 

I'm excited to announce a new FOF historical league that will be starting up around November 1, the Throwback Football League. We will be starting in the year 1974, with historical rosters and all drafts will be historical drafts. As with any new league, our main goal is to get some good, commmitted owners that are in for the long haul. The original 26 teams that were active in 1974 will be in the league, as well as 6 teams that have original names/real expansion teams and will obviously start with fictional rosters. That being said, the only teams taken so far are the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints. That leaves the other 23 original teams from '74, and the Portland Shockers, Memphis Rogues, Birmingham Bombers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Getting some good interest, the Chargers, Steelers and Jets are now taken as well. 23 teams to go!

This should be a really great league. And TFL should be something really special. It's a great time to grab a team and jump in.

Think most would enjoy the opportunity to take a team from season one, molding it and forming it until it reflects their personality. The chance to be a part of creating a league history from ground zero. So, your here so I know the competition is in your blood, bring it in and get it on. Lots here talk the talk, now walk the walk and help make this league rival the other FOF greats........

What sim schedule are you hoping to run, I dont want to sign up for a league if the schedule doesn't fit in with my work.

Welcome all you guys to the forum. Good to see an influx of new folks.

More than likely a M/W/F or T/T/Sat sim schedule. Also, would be done later at night, since I am on PST, so a 12AM EST sim time would probably be the time. Hope you can join!

To expand a little further, we are going to start with an allocation draft, similar to the way it was done in AUFL. 5 players per team can be protected, then the drafting will commence. We should be filled up by tomorrow afternoon, so if you'd like in, now is the time.

Yeah, have you considered 2 week sims and midweek in between?

Alright fellas, league index page and owner page are up and running, the rest will be done pretty soon. The front page on the index is currently pulling info from Gridiron Glory, a BBCF league, but will be where all of our front page news for the TFL will be posted.
