This Needs A Poll...Easy Mac's Situation

I couldn't resist. Easy you are under no obligation to follow the results of this poll, and good luck with your situation. :)

Don't tell. If my gf pulled away from a guy who tried to kiss her, and I found out, I would be happy...but I would rather not know...

Just me.

PS - I would've hit it.

Strangely CR, I actually joked about a menage trois with my girlfriend and the other girl before it happened, and they both laughed, though I did get a menacing glare when the other girl left.

Great minds think alike...well, when it ain't politics anyway. ;)

that's the first thing I thought of when I read the thread. If a guy tried to kiss my girlfriend, I would want to find out, so that I could go "talk" to him about it.

Daimyo 03-23-2003 09:31 PM

You didn't do anything wrong, so nothing to tell IMO. IMO, If you tell her she's just going to think there is more to it. (ie, "why would you be telling me this if you don't feel guilty" / "if you feel guilty about it, it must mean you weren't innocent in all this" is what I imagine will go through her head).

You didn't do anything wrong, which is why you tell. Otherwise it looks like you did. Checked this out with my gf of 5+ years (had read pieces of the original thread to her, she was rolling), and she wholeheartedly agrees.

Besides, the ex was drunk when going to get the drink - which means who knows what she thinks may have happened before you pushed her away. All it takes is her being pissed and drunk around your current gf once: "Hey, ___ is a great kisser... found out that other night." It's all over then.

If you're serious about your current, you need to tell her. I'd also broach the subject with your roommate.

To address Daimyo's point... heh, use one to solve the other. Tell your GF what happened. Get her advice as to whether you should tell the roommate. This way she doesn't think it's guilt driving you telling her, she will (maybe not immediately, but after some time) feel good that you're coming to her for advice, and she'll be on your side in the deal.

That's how I see it, at least.

I demand a poll option for "bang the roommate's ex, attempting to keep both roommate and girlfriend in the dark."

Bonus points if you do this for several months, all the while telling newchick, "I am going to break up with my girlfriend soon, the time is just not right."

Put everyone in the chipper a shoot the chunks over a lake or river.

Get rent from your roomie first.
