HOF Coach Pete Newell Passes away at 93.
 

Talk about a man who's effect on the game of basketball has lived for decades. This guy beat John Wooden, the Wizard of Westwood, EIGHT times in a row (the last eight times the two legends faced off). Retired at age 44 due to stress, but continued to teach the game of basketball for 48 years more.
