Ok...I'm now running a single player league, whats the secret to trades? I idolize Lester Hayes and the darn San Antonio Gunslingers won't part with him because he is idolized and they would lose fans. How do you get them to trade in situtations like that...i offered a fan fav of mine and a 1st round pick but their excuse stands firm. HELP :)

Unless he has a contract hold out, you are unlikely to get him.

ahhh the dream busting...say it isn't so!! Darn those Gunslingers...denying a GM of his hero...guess i can rule out Marcus Allen too!!! UGH

Well...

There is sort of a kludge for this in single player.

Seeing as any one individual player's ratings are randomized to a certain extent, even on a minimal X-Factor setting, you could simply rename Lester Hayes "John Doe" or some such and rename your best cornerback "Lester Hayes". The same for Marcus Allen as well. Otto is attached to the player's ratings, not the player names.

Then you get your heroes and Otto keeps his ratings.

He might not be worth it if they're asking for too much. However, if he's a young QB who is above 90/90, it might be worth it. I traded up (traded my current year's first, second, third round picks and next year's first to move up in the draft board. I had the 10th overall) and drafted this guy J.T. Grant in single player. He won me five championships so far, and my teams weren't even that good. He's led my team to the playoffs in all eight of his seasons. That's priceless.

Bear...good idea...not sure why i never thought of just renaming them lol. Gonna do that and everyone is happy lol.
