Married men/women - how much sex do you have?

Just wondering where my marriage sex life stands up to yours....

poll to come (or should I say... oh nevermind)

Samdari 12-05-2008 08:09 AM

This really needs to be broken down by age, length of marriage, and number of kids.

BYU 14 12-05-2008 08:11 AM

Kind of surprised at the results so far, I know schedules are tight, but I could not imagine going a week without sex :(

No lie. 1st kid, it was no problem to sneak in a quicky at naptime and such. Now with 2, and one not napping anymore there's little time for nookie.

Lathum 12-05-2008 08:35 AM

Is this just with my wife?

i kid i kid

yeah, I guess it does. I do have one baby - and if you say I'm going to get less sex when #2,3, or 4 comes then oh boy :banghead:

PackerFanatic 12-05-2008 08:47 AM

"Everyone else has more sex than me..."

Great song.

KWhit 12-05-2008 09:01 AM

2-4 times a week?

That range is way too broad. 2x a week is VERY different than 4x a week.

Wait until your kids are teenagers and you give your wife a quick 'thank you' kiss ....

"eeeeeh you're kissing, thats gross - you guys are SOOOOOOOOO old, you shouldn't still be doing that sort of stuff"

Really helps with the mood ;)

:D

Kodos 12-05-2008 09:12 AM

Things get ugly during a pregnancy too, since the woman often doesn't feel good most of the time. :(

Not always true.

My wife was ALWAYS in the mood when pregnant, except for a little bit here and there. From what I read, with all the hormones going on women often have increased libidos then, its the guys that have to deal with it mentally, but YMMV.

cuervo72 12-05-2008 09:26 AM

Poll needs more options.

Kodos 12-05-2008 09:34 AM

All the hormones have done is turned her into a fan of teen romance books like the Twilight series.

I had just the opposite experience. It was game on as soon as my wife got pregnant. She was always ready to go.

That doesn't have a thing to do with the pregnancy, trust me.

Stupid Edward.

I hear ya. I could almost tell the day it happened for my wife. Almost didn't even need the pregnancy test.

johnnyshaka 12-05-2008 09:43 AM

Tasan pretty much summed up my experience with a couple of posts...my wife couldn't get enough while she was pregnant both times. And now that we have a 2nd one, getting some nookie in isn't as easy as it was with just one.

3 more to go man. What is it with the women and these damned books? I've broken down and read them, just to see what the insanity is. Its teen drama, stuff my wife won't touch with a ten foot pole if its on the WB. But this book series? She can't get enough of it.

Tasan 12-05-2008 09:52 AM

Dola

And my wife, she's not some fresh out of college 22 year old or anything either. 2 kids and in her 30s, and loving these books. It makes no rational sense.

Quoted for truth ... but only with one of our kids ...

my wife is 33 and fully admits she has no clue why she liked the first one so much.

I am probably getting dragged this weekend to see it now that some of the hype has died down

hahahahahahahhahahahahahaha

Sucker.

Fortunately my sister is into the books as well, so my wife went with my sister to see it. I might sit through the DVD when it comes out, but I'm NOT going to the theater to sleep for 2 hours.

Kodos 12-05-2008 10:31 AM

I believe she read the entire series 4 times in a row. She is on boards about Twilight all the time. She's seen the movie, and plans to see it again because some people sitting near her ruined it with a bunch of comments. She bought the soundtrack, and now wants 100+ songs that the author says she listened to while writing the books.

It is safe to say I hate the Twilight series.

Noop 12-05-2008 10:32 AM

Well some of you guys get it more then me.

At least there is a little action...my wife was a couple weeks away from her due date when Sex and the City came out...yeah, I had to be the dutiful husband and attend with my very pregnant wife. Fuck.

My wife did the same thing a few weeks ago.

She also had me hooked on them.

MizzouRah 12-05-2008 10:38 AM

As much as I can.. haha.

If I get it once a week, I'm very happy.

Strongly disagree, those were good times, it's way worse once the kid is born.

Don't worry I'm planning on stealing my daughters copies at some point and giving them a go.

Last 'teenage' books I read of hers which were glass was the 'Uglies' sci-fi series .. very readable in a Harry Potter sort of way.

PilotMan 12-05-2008 10:47 AM

I feel pretty good about my life considering I am gone from home for 10-12 days a month sometimes. We have 3 kids, but my wife stays home with the kids. Our oldest is 13 and by now I am pretty sure that he will need therapy for our actions.

My 14 y.o. finally pulled me aside a couple of weeks ago and asked if he could move into the spare room at the other end of the house because "Either you and mom can't be quiet or the wall between our rooms is really thin".

Poor kid.

(In the same conversation, he said -- jokingly, I assume -- that people "our age" really shouldn't be fooling around so often. It isn't emotionally healthy.)

Icy, while I know some couples have issues after childbirth, its not that way for everyone. I know my wife and I had a difficult time sexually for a couple of months, but after that its been fine when we can find the time. I bring this up because some guys are scared to have kids because of it, and its not that way for everyone.

GrantDawg 12-05-2008 01:29 PM

Last year I went through about three month stretch of daily. I discovered that I'm too old for that, and towards the end was sort of hoping the wife would just go to sleep. :)

Subby 12-05-2008 01:30 PM

Fritz wanted me to ask if the first option included anal.

Its a cruel twist from God that as women move into their 30s they get hornier, and as men move into their 30s they lose stamina and sometimes even the drive.

boberot 12-05-2008 02:06 PM

In our house it's three or four days in a row, and then complete radio silence for a few weeks -- for reasons I'm sure I could never understand.

Pumpy Tudors 12-05-2008 02:24 PM

This might be too much information, but I'm 32 years old, I've been married for nearly 5 years, and I've never had sex.

Aluminum cans don't count, right?

JonInMiddleGA 12-05-2008 02:26 PM

FTR, I'm growing uncomfortable with this thread & it's proximity to the "How anal are you with your iPod" thread.

CU Tiger 12-05-2008 02:29 PM

Pregnancy - For my wife when pregnant with my son game on....(MAJOR increase) with daughter exact opposite.

that has held true for almost all our friends, except one -she was the opposite, but admits to having an unreal sex drive when not pregnant (As in had to buy electric sex toys because batteries were too expensive

My wife's not an accountant, and as you know, she may be a lesbian. Not sure it'll work.
