Oh crap. Well, that's two. Whos next for the third?

JonInMiddleGA 01-14-2009 03:52 PM

Sign of the times I guess, when I mentioned this to my son I got the inevitable "who's that?". For a reference point I gave him the grandfather in Spy Kids 2.

Oddly enough though, he's knows who Patrick McGoohan is, due to his connection to Iron Maiden's song The Prisoner.

Its funny, Ricardo montalban has an image of a bit of a hack, but in truth he was a very good actor. His resume includes tons of variety and quality roles. he will be missed.

Ricardo Montalban was made out of 100% pure Mexican cool.

Kodos 01-14-2009 04:59 PM

He was also good in The Naked Gun.

Mister Gutierrez!

Gutierrez: Because he tasks me! He tasks me! 'round the moons of Snivia, I chuckle at thee. Beyond the Corpian clouds I chuckle more at thee. Revenge is a dish best served with pinto beans and muffins! Kirk, oh, friend, I... Oh, sorry.

SI

RIP Patrick Mcgoohan - I've always loved The Prisoner, I even visited Portmeiron, in Wales, when I was there - truly as weird in real life as it was in that show.

I loved "The Prisoner," too. Did you know that you can watch all of the original episodes at AE's website as part of the marketing for the new version with Jim Caviezel as Number 6 and Ian McKellen as Number 1?
