Lightly Salted Dry Roasted Peanuts
WTF!!!
Was out and in a hurry. Thought I picked up regular and picked up "lightly salted" instead. didn't notice till i got home and opened up. what's the fucking point. I'm not even sure they're edible. |
if you don't like them you can eat my nuts
|

lol it was just a rude surprise when i cracked the bottle open in the dark. not what i was expecting |

Basically so one day your head doesn't explode when you blood pressure gets too high to keep inside your veins. I try to get lightly salted or less salted things whenever I can. |
Quote:
eh. i'll worry about that day when i get there. it doesn't affect me today. i'll worry about tomorrow tomorrow. live each day like it's your last, ya know? :D |

You're going to love my nuts. [/vv] |
You really want to be posting on a message board / surfing the web on your last day of living? ;)
No offense to people who post of message boards (of which, obviously, I happen to be one) :D. |

 |

And eat enough of those salted nuts, and you can change that maxim to "Live each day like it's next Thursday." :) |

*shrug* fine by me. |
i can only eat unsalted nuts. i hate salted nuts. now popcorn...

Honey roasted all the way :)

I'm not a potato chip person, but someone came over my apartment with a bag of "lightly salted" Lay's chips, and wow, they were 1000x better than the normal ones.

:+1: I don't add salt to alot of things, but there are certain things that when I eat them, they better damn well be salted that includes peanuts, popcorns, pretzels. |
Quote:
Unsalted pretzels? What circle of hell are those from? SI |
It blew my mind how much salt is in soda (or pop, depending on where you're from).
|
Quote:
Sorry, was more thinking the large hot pretzels that you get where the salt has all fallen off or the person didn't take time to put enough salt on. |

Hell, it blows my mind how much salt is in ordinary food. If you go out to eat for lunch, it'll destroy your daily intake of salt... regardless of where you go. |
Bah, the proper way to eat peanuts is to eat the whole thing, shell and all.

Guess I'm not alone |
Quote:
Well, you've officially doubled the number of people I know who do that. |
Quote:
Well, that's one way to a high fiber diet.... |
All this talk about salt is making my mouth water.
|
Just be thankful you did not pick up a can of the "slightly salmonella" peanuts.
|

And then throwing their shells on the ground underneath your seat at the ball game. That's definitely the proper way to eat peanuts. How many days until Spring Training? :D SI |
Quote:
These pretzels are making me thirsty. I also eat sunflower seeds shell and all. |
These pretzels are making me thirsty.
|
Damn you, Mustang.

Quote:
If you eat the shell, I believe it would then be considered rude to "deposit" it under your seat. Perhaps an arrestable offense. |

You know, I think you and I were reading that line above slightly differently ;) SI |
I'm a saltaholic. I put it on everything I can. At home, I don't even use table salt - I use huge-grained sea salt on everything. My food always looks like it has snow on it. Of course, when I'm cooking for others, I don't use nearly as much salt in the preparation.
At my last doctor visit, my blood pressure was a bit low (105/75 or something like that), so I must be totally immune to the effects of sodium. |
I once bought salt fre ketchup through the same mistake....that is wretched evil shit....

Jesus Christ. You people probably put extra salt on your McDonald's fries.
|
Quote:
I don't put salt on fries. I put it in the ketchup and then dip the fries in that. I learned that from John Travolta in White Man's Burden. |
I much prefer plain, unsalted peanuts, to salted peanuts.
|
Quote:
ewww no. that'd just be gross |
Quote:
You realize that 1 tablespoon of ketchup contains 8% of your daily sodium, right? (edit: of course, that's BEFORE the extra salt) And yes, you can call me Mom :p. |
Quote:
That's why I add the salt. I want to make sure I'm getting the full 100% at once. I ain't got time to make sure I get my 100% for the day. :) |
