An Article Worth Reading
 

You know I heard on a local talk show about a gent who went over there and I believe this was him. He basically just said the same thing in the article.

That's what some people need. To hear it straight from the horses mouth. Wonder how many protesters would still be in the street then ?

Why do I have a bad feeling that many activists honestly believe that that's the order or priority here?

There are naive fools on both sides, this guy is definitely not an exception.

This line at the end bugged me:

"Anyone with half a brain must see that Saddam has to be taken out."

If that's the case, why didn't he see it until he went there? I find the whole article a little odd in that way, he seems to really trash the protestors a lot for someone who was one of them mere weeks before.

He doesn't seem like someone who thinks things through to me. I got the feeling he didn't even understand why he was in Iraq except to protest, not the reasons for why he was protesting. I suspect the same thing is true now. He may have "switched sides", but still doesn't have a clear understanding of what's going on. Obviously talking to the taxi drivers changed his opinion, but I still don't think he has a true understanding of the issues. He saw suffering by the Iraqis under Saddam and now thinks war is the answer. If he goes there now and sees damage that the war is causing, I suspect he would flip flop again. JMO.

Yep. I think the majority (if not all) of the "human shields" were pretty naive. Anyone who has done any type of research should understand how despicable the Iraqi regime is. For this to come as a shock to them doesn't speak well of their knowledge or their understanding of the world. JMO.
