Loading historical rosters

Hi,
I need your help. I am trying to load a historical roster. I unzipped it with winace and saved it. It's called 1987.ftd.
When I start FOF for new rosters the second screen asks for the file name. That's when I get stuck. It can't find it under 1987.ftd.
Please explain in tiny little steps because I never unzipped anything to a game before.

I can't find them. Where should I save them? Do I save them zipped or extract them there?

Just extract them anywhere, then when you start a new game, make sure "start with an alternate roster" is toggled to "yes" and it will ask you where it's located. Then just load it from wherever you extracted it to.
