My beach trip finally came through!

I'm off to Boracay tomorrow, spending 3 days worth of rest and relaxation in one of the world's best beaches!

A couple of years back, my then girlfriend (now wife) and I were thinking about Boracay, El Nido, and Panglao. We went with Panglao because (paradoxically) it was the best combination of easiest to get to and the least developed.

We loved Panglao, but would definitely consider the other two places...

I have no doubt it's going to be awesome. :)

I've been to El Nido as well. Excellent beach too.

Update: That was an awesome three days and two nights!!! Fine white sand, clear blue sea. Relaxing, to say the least. :)

Wow. The Jersey shore looks a lot different nowadays.

I you ever find yourself headed to the Philippines, Boracay is a must.

It's a 1-hour plane ride and a 15-minute ferry trip away from Manila.

Our budget was set at around $400 per head for the entire trip (plane fare, hotel stay for 2 days, 3 nights, food, activities)

damn that's some clean water.

I was just there last month. Indeed, the trip is cheap and the atmosphere is the easiest going I've ever experienced. I was there for two weeks, and the total cost was not much over $1000 total, including airfare.
