Corrupt file

Ok, don't know whats going on. I had the game running about 30 minutes ago. Shut it down while doing other things. Received an email from my league commish and downloaded the file into my folder, like always. Ran the exe and I get an error message that the GM records database has been corrupted.

First off, what the hell is that record?

Second....... HELP!

Unfortunately the only other thread I can see on this is from here:

Gm Records Database is corrupted? - Front Office Football Central

No one ever replied to him either, so I don't have any great solution for you.

Thanks Alan........ no answer from that long ago... not a good sign.

(May I meet you in this years GL Bowl.... hopefully with the same outcome as last time!) :D

Actually I did find a few other cases where similar messages were involved as I searched more. The results in those were not very friendly either though. One person even re-installed and still was getting that message.

So it might be a case of a complete wipe of the FOF directory and related entries in the registry then a re-install. Hopefully someone else has a better suggestion though soon.

With a case like this where the game is not playable at all, I would highly suggest putting in an email to Support. It might not return a result as fast as you are hoping for (to get an export in for tommorrow), but that is your best way of getting an answer if no one here can help.

Thanks Alan.... ended up doing a clean sweep, removed the game, rebuilt my league files and am back in service. Not sure what happened but it is nice to be back...... even though it only lasted less then an hour I was feeling the beginnings of FOF withdrawal.
