Run direction
 

Does run direction actually translate into the skills of those o-linemen or is it random? Does inside left tackle involve the left tackle and guard mostly or is every run pretty random, either inside (less ypc but consistent) or outside (more ypc but more variance).

I'm pretty sure this is one of those unsolved mysteries, but I wasn't sure. The reason I ask is I have an RB who is running very well up the middle and to the left, but very poorly to the right. I have a good run blocking line, and my RT is one of my best run blockers. I will avoid running right because it's not working, but it really should (as I haven't been facing very good d-lines).

How many games?

I've played 6 games so it's about 60 carries each to the left, right, and middle. Left side is 6+ ypc, middle is 4, and right is 2+. It just seems like a big difference between left and right. The league average is 4.5(left),4(mid),4.3(right).

Even against teams with bad d-lines and mediocre LBs, I've struggled against the right side. Just going to keep a bit more left and center until that fails me.
