Psychic Time Waster

This game was posted earlier and I can't find the post. I was wondering how this worked, I can't seem to figure it out. I'm sure it easy and basic, but I am drawing a blank right now. Thanks in advance.

ugh.

any time you take any two digit number, add the digits and then subtract that from the original number, you'll get a multiple of 9.

you'll notice that each multiple of 9 has the same icon.
