Eminem Gets Teabagged by Sacha Baron Cohen

This is seriously one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile. The video is priceless.

That was fucking amazing. Amazing.

JonInMiddleGA 06-01-2009 11:22 AM

Every time I hear his name I wonder how long it's going to be before somebody kills him.

Ronnie Dobbs2 06-01-2009 11:38 AM

Work?

This.

Neon_Chaos 06-01-2009 11:40 AM

Most likely a work.

Unless SBC managed to get the seating arrangement and was able to coordinate with MTV to punk Eminem.

DeToxRox 06-01-2009 11:43 AM

Well the fact they showed Eminem right before he comes down, and then he lands perfectly on Em's face like that?

rowech 06-01-2009 02:25 PM

I'd be livid.

rowech 06-01-2009 02:32 PM

After watching it again though, I'm not so sure it's not staged.

PackerFanatic 06-01-2009 02:36 PM

Eminem seemed pretty pissed, but he usually seems like that so who knows. It was still pretty funny.

Fidatelo 06-01-2009 02:37 PM

I think there are two possibilities here:

1) The whole thing is staged. Boring.
2) Eminem was under the impression SBC was going to land in his lap or something, maybe with some scripted dialogue, but then SBC pulled out the "how my ass taste?" landing and pissed Em off for real.

I'm hoping for #2, but if I had to pick a likely scenario it would be #1.

Money is on 1. I don't see why he would go along with the "he's just going to land in your lap" idea, no real publicity there.

I don't know, if they (MTV + SBC) presented him with some kind of script that had a couple funny lines, why wouldn't he go along with it? I'm more confused as to why he'd go along with scenario #1 where he gets a man's ass in his face and then acts like a little bitch as he storms out.

RainMaker 06-01-2009 02:44 PM

Yeah, I'm going with staged. He has an new album out and this will get both guys a ton of media attention. Then again, is Cohen really known for staging stuff? Isn't part of his schtick the real reactions he gets from people?

Yeah, that's kind of why I think #2 is plausible. Eminem thinks a canned promo is going to happen, but then SBC turns the tables on him.

Option 3 - The whole thing was planned, but Eminem was told nothing about it.

RainMaker 06-01-2009 02:51 PM

Plus, if you aren't in on the gag, wouldn't you have a reaction to move your head or push the guy away before his ass was inches from your face?

Nah, he wouldn't just sit there watching SBC come down on him then. I think he had to at least have been expecting SBC to land on him for it to work out how it did.

Sgran 06-01-2009 02:53 PM

keep in mind that Eminem dissed the MTV Awards in one of his songs (the Real Slim Shady?).

Christina Aguilera should have switched him chairs.

Pumpy Tudors 06-01-2009 03:24 PM

I haven't even seen the video, and the posts in this thread are cracking me up.

I am dying. I'm at work with tears running down my face.

In either case, this is probably the "Best Thread Title of the Internets"

LoneStarGirl 06-01-2009 04:45 PM

According to Ryan Seacrest's Twitters it was all an accident. Sasha was supposed to fly and do his thing, but he accidentally hit the sound equipment on the ceiling and it flipped him upside down and then there was no control on where he was going. Eminem was pissed and really left after that.

I immediately thought it was not staged because Sasha never got to announce the nominees for the award, he just shouted out Zach Efron's name.

INDalltheway 06-01-2009 04:53 PM

I think it was staged.. Remember lots of the "people" in Borat were actually actors, and I'm pretty sure Eminem's bodyguards would have actually killed the guy if it wasn't staged.

He dissed the Grammys in The Real Slim Shady.

Thank God you wrote this. I was about to have to ask for the author to turn in their man card.

According to Ryan Seacrest's Twitters would be a great effing band name though.

MTV and Eminem have had no comment.

I think it's great. Eminem can go ahead and make fun of anybody he wants, and at one point was popular enough that he probably destroyed a few careers with his trash talking. He deserves a good d&*k in his face from someone else who happens to be a lot more popular than him now.

lighthousekeeper 06-01-2009 08:50 PM

it's weird that anyone would think that wasn't staged. the shot of mm prior to the fall was the dead giveaway.

Ksyrup 06-01-2009 08:59 PM

If only this had been as "staged" as that Danny Bonaduce/Johnny Fairplay incident.

Imagine my disappointment.

Exactly.

But still freaking hilarious!

Fonzie 06-01-2009 10:28 PM

I don't really care if this was staged or not. I have chosen to believe that it was not staged, because believing so makes me very, very happy.

And isn't that what life's all about?

Which would certainly applies to the vapid airheads like Seacrest and Paris Hilton, who said it was real. Everyone else apparently knows better but yet we keep feeding these so-called celebrities.

Ronnie Dobbs2 06-02-2009 07:16 PM

I read somewhere (who the fuck knows) that originally it was supposed to be Paris. That would have been enjoyable.

Yahoo. It's on the front page right now. Confirmed as staged.

Personally, I would have gone with a James Brown joke, but overall not bad.

Would a Weird Al reference have done as well?
