Anybody playing BM 2010?
I downloaded the Demo and am having some fun with it. I like the in game pitcher/batter screen and the ball animations. Simple, but adds a lot to the experience. Easy to navigate for the most part and an easy learning curve.
My questions to anyone playing it. How are Deadball era sims and is it a game you can see yourself playing long term? I am trying to decide between Mogul (which I have never owned) and OOTP X (I have owned them all) I know all the strengths of OOTP, just not wher I would like it to be as a historical sim, though that is supposed to be improved this version. I was hoping Shaun would release DDS Baseball soon, but that looks to be a while away, so I will likely reload Puresim 2007 and may just stick with that this year, but I would be interested in feedback from any Mogul players. |
Mogul's fine if you don't look too closely and you don't let the little things bother you. It's great for simming through quickly a bunch of seasons in a single night but i'd be very afraid of going too in-depth with it.

I love the game because its simple and fun. but if you want to get deep into it then it gets worse.

This game kind of reminds me of an old board game I used to play called Hot Corner Baseball. A lot more simplistic than the strat and APBA games, but fun and quick. The guy that ran the company also sold individual teams or your choosing and individual player cards at a reasonable price.
I know mogul will never be as deep as OOTP, but this version is really growning on me.. I just have to be strong until OOTP X has some reviews coming in :) |
