Noob Question

Been playing around with the game, and getting frustrated with the drafting choices of the computer GM's. Drafting qb in the first round 3 years running...ect. Was wondering if you could take over a team before the draft and then quit/ fire the human owner after the draft. Or any other ways around poor drafting by the computer GMs. Thanks in adavnce for any advice.

That's an easy one. Join a multiplayer league. Then you can get frustrated by the poor drafting choices of the human GMs.

Thanks...would join a multi player, but with work, can't decicate the time it would take, and don't want to be one of those owners that evryone else in the league is waiting for. Just like playing around in my league whenever I get the chance.

That depends on how you manage your team. Game planning and setting the depth chart for games usually doesn't take too much time, unless you want to change every single number. Depending on league rules and sim regulations, in most leagues you have at least a 48 hour window (depending on how the rules are in your league) to make those changes.

The off-season, especially the draft, is the time consuming part of multi-player. At the same time, most leagues use utilites by which the GMs can set lists for the draft, which covers your ass during your off hours. You do need to check your list at least twice per day to keep it from running out. And in the first round you probably want to be online quite a bit more, to be in position to make trades in case your targets are dropping like flies.

All in all, it'll cost time, but if it means you'll play less singel player, it will even out in time spent. Some people even join multiple leagues to be able to go through the early free agency and draft stages more often. Afterall, those two take about 10 days of what takes roughly 10 to 15 weeks to run a full season.
