20Q: The FOFC Game
So, last night, I had some singer in my head and I could remember next to nothing about him. I knew I wanted to check him out while at my computer, but had never come across him while at my computer, only while away. And I would always forget when I was at my computer. So I was determined to end that frustrating situation last night and asked FOFC for help.
Well, after a while I finally got the singer I was thinking of (it was Edwin McCain). But why not make a game out of that sort of thing? It would be fun to play a 20 questions kind of thing. So let's say someone picks a person, place, or thing (make it reasonably well-known, wikipedia-entry bare minimum). The category is made known to everyone, and then the 20 questions start. Anyone can post a yes/no question, and if someone guesses it before the limit of 20 is exhausted, then it is their turn. If not, then the original picker picks another? What do you think, sound fun? Why the heck not, it could pass some time for those at work. I'll start. Feel free to suggest rule amendments that might make more fun or interesting or whatever. It's just for kicks. So the first category is PERSON. Go! |

o rly:
so I assume we count a guess as a question? or what do you guys think? |
Quote:
Well that's why I'm not saying it. :) I could be completely wrong. |
Was this person known for more then one type of entertainment (ie. Musician, Singer, Actor, etc?)
|
#13: YES
|
Did this person have a nickname that referred to a physical trait (height, size, eyes, etc?)
|
Quote:
#14: NO |
Quote:
Well my answer is dead in the water... :) |
Yeah, I thought so. I went and double-checked for the real thing and can find no evidence of this nickname you are asking about, so if it exists, I wouldn't call it commonly known.

I say guesses should not count as a question, and should be sent by PM, so no one's incorrect guess affects later guesses. One guess per person. |
I'm down with that. Guesses accepted via PM. Guess wrong and you are out!
|
Has he ever had a movie based on his life?
|
#15: YES
|
Did he star in a movie that would be considered a "Western" by the common definition.
|
Quote:
#16: NO (to verify this, I searched on imdb.com and looked at the "genre" listing for all of the movies he was in as an actor and not had "Western" listed--I cannot testify that I know enough about every movie to say yes or no past that). |
Guess sent.
