Help me pick my NFL team win bets
I'll be picking 4 teams this season to bet their win total. Probably about $50 a bet.
Listed below are tho totals, if you wish to help just post 4 teams, and if you think they will go over or under their win total. I'll keep track and right before the season select the most popular 4 bets. Then we can follow along together. No Vikins line up right now and I wont bet the Giants. Arizona 8.5 Atlanta 8.5 Baltimore 8.5 Buffalo 7.5 Carolina 8.5 chicago 8.5 Cincinnati 6.5 Cleveland 7 Dallas 9 Denver 7 Detroit 4.5 Green Bay 8.5 Houston 8 Indy 10 Jacksonville 8 KC 6 Miami 7 New England 11.5 Saints 9 Jets 7 Raiders 5.5 Eagles 9.5 Steelers 10.5 Chargers 9.5 49ers 7 Seahawks 8 Rams 5.5 Tampa Bay 6.5 Titans 9 Redskins 8 |
Titans - under
Arizona - over (figure there is a good chance to get close to that total in their crappy division alone) Atlanta - under (last season was a fluke) Denver - over (just a hunch here, they will get either 8 or 9) Why no Giants on the list? |
Probably a Giants fan and doesn't want to root against them. or a jets fan and doesn't want to root for them?

I refuse to bet on my team for the season. |
Before looking at the numbers I was ready to say Miami, because I was so sure they'd be overrated for this year, but 7, that sounds right.
Over: Rams Eagles Chargers Under: Redskins I would say New England-over but have to qualify that as a homer pick. But it's tough to see them not winning 12. |
Cincinnati: Over
Cleveland: Under Denver: Under San Francisco: Under |
over:
Chargers Under: Houston Carolina Chicago Carolina is "my team" so I'm more biased there than elsewhere, but their history coming off winning seasons, the season ending injury to an excellent DT 30 minutes into day 1 of training camps, and an unending list of nagging injuries to various starters has me expecting 7-9. |
Titans definitely 10-12 wins 9 is too low I would say though I am biased.:)

Seattle-Over
Denver-Under-Look at schedule/Kyle Orton Jacksonville-Over NE-Over |
Jax over 8
Chargers over Rams under Seahawks under Good luck! |
Raiders - OVER
Seahawks - WAY OVER (EDIT: Nevermind. Big Walt having knee surgery and Trufant with bulging disk issues.) Green Bay - OVER Kansas City - OVER |

It Saul Goode. I cant get enough of that. |
Cincinnati 6.5-over
Denver 7-Under(way under) Miami 7-Over Tampa Bay 6.5-Under(way under) |
Denver - under
Buffalo - under San Diego - over Cleveland - under |
Arizona (Under) -- When was the last time Kurt Warner was healthy two straight seasons? When was the last time the super bowl loser made the playoffs? They only won 9 games last year.
Denver (Under) -- The team doesn't look that good on paper, and I fear they may not even play up to those standards. New England (Over) -- They won 11 games without Brady last year, 12 should be achievable. Carolina (Over) -- No reason to think they can't win 10 or more again this year. |
Cleveland, bet the under. They look horrible.
That's the only lock I can think of. |
San Diego - Over
Tampa Bay - Under St. Louis - Over Washington - Under I feel best about the top two, but reasonably confident on the bottom two. |

Homer;) |
lol, Cleveland is not winning 7 games.

They will if they get to play the Lions every week |
Redskins under 8 (come on...last in the NFC East will be less than 8)
Rams over 5.5 (Spags runs Jackson all year...defense does enough for 7) Chargers over 9.5 (FOFC could win 8 in that division...they'll win 10 or 11) Jets under 7 (if he plays...he's gonna be a dirty Sanchez this year) |

FYI, that has not been the case the past two years. The Redskins were last with 8-8 last season and the Eagles were last in 2007 also at 8-8. |
Oh I realize that...being that I'm also a Giants fan...I'm just poking at the Skins.
Still...I don't think last place gets more than 7 wins this year (might be due for somebody to have a bad year). |
Cinci - Over
Baltimore - Over San Diego - Over Cleveland - Under |
Cleveland 7- Under
Denver 7- Under Green Bay 8.5- Over Raiders 5.5- Over, though the Cable situation could cloud this Chargers 9.5- Over 49ers 7- Under |

Eagles, Texans, Browns -- under
Chargers -- over |
Rams--over
Arizona--under Saints--over New England--Under |
OK, I am making the bets tomorrow.
The top 4 right now are San Diego over 9.5 ( line has moved to 10 now) Cleveland under 7 Denver under 7 ( line has moved to 6.5 now) Rams over 5.5 Anyone wants to throw in their opinion is still welcome to. |
OK, made the bets earlier this week
We went with Denver -6.5 wins Saints +9 wins Chargers +10 Wins Rams +5.5 Wins |
Oh, man. Wish I would have seen this.
Just no way the Bills win 8 games. Unfortunately, I'm very confident of that. |
Follow up on my picks:
San Diego - Over (9.5) - Current record 7-3 (still up in the air, but with games against KC and Cleveland, leaning towards being correct) Tampa Bay - Under (6.5) - Current record 1-9 (a lock, only need one more loss to secure this) St. Louis - Over (5.5) - Current Record 1-9 (doh!) Washington - Under (8) - Current Record 3-7 (need to lose 2 of 6 against NO, Dallas, Philly, NYG, SD, and Oakland, looking good here) |
In the end, I opted to only take two this year. I took unders on both Cleveland (7) and Washington (8). Looks like I picked two good ones.

Houston is up in the air, the others aren't mortal locks but I like where they're going. |
