Riding on an airplane...

...to see my wife and kids after 2 1/2 long months of being away from them. I am excited. The newborn (in January) is now crawling around and getting into things. It will be a nice 6 days of time spent with my family.

JediKooter 08-24-2009 11:37 AM

Excellent! Enjoy your time with the family.

DaddyTorgo 08-24-2009 11:48 AM

awww yay

My advise to all males out there flying; is don't forget your purse!

With the Airlines trying to nickel and dime their customers to death the one loophole that they have left open to their female clients is that they do not count purses as carry ons.

So in addition to your regular carryon bag, get yourself a man purse.

Lathum 08-24-2009 11:56 AM

enjoy!

Have fun man. Having kids is the best part of life.

Passacaglia 08-24-2009 12:07 PM

Big deal, I've been on an airplane tons of times.

Lathum 08-24-2009 12:11 PM

I have a feeling 9 months from now we may have an "announcement" from RomaGoth

Funny you mention that. My wife is loving being home with our kids and expressed an interest in having another one (ha, like 4 isn't enough). However, I had a vaz last summer, so unless God has other plans, it appears we are done having children.

Mustang 08-24-2009 12:44 PM

I couldn't imagine being away from my family for 2 1/2 months.

That's rough yeah. I'm pretty sure my wife would kill me when I got home, not get me to knock her up.

Yeah it sucks. Worst part is, after this trip I won't see them again until December. Then, after that, not again until maybe March (my wife is flying here to see me). The goal is to move them here next June/July.

All in all, a very long f'ing year. :(

We were done at 2, I had the vaz...2 years after we had our youngest....God does work in crazy ways.

I've been meaning to start a thread on vasectomies. We're starting to talk about it and I'm wondering what people's experiences were. This is definitely one of those. ;-)

Yup...it was a combination of a dr not going through all the procedures (he clipped, clamped but didn't burn) and my body regenerating. Kind of freakish yet cool.

Fuck that, ride in the plane!

You should make the Dr. pay child support.

True, that might help me avoid the snakes.

He paid for everything as far as the baby, birth and such...I can't hold him to something that might or might not have happened regardless.

My little guy is awesome, has a personality like me and is very animated...I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world...to me, it was meant to be.

Logan 08-24-2009 03:57 PM

Out of curiosity because I may have missed it in another thread, what do you do that has you gone so long if you don't mind me asking?

On the airlines I've been on, you're allowed one personal item in addition to a carry-on. For women, usually a purse...for men, that can be a backpack, a laptop bag, or a fanny pack if you're an old man.

Nah I'm just messing around. How old is your son now?

I took a new job out of state, and will be moving my family here next summer. It has been a pretty tough 2 1/2 months, with another tough 9 months to go.

How about a duffle-bag sized bag?

Of course...what else are you gonna put your guns in?

Seriously though...I know how it is to be gone from the family for extended periods...best wishes on the trip and with your move.
