Matt's 2009 Roster File
|
thanks for the hard work!
|
Not working for me.
|
Should be working fine I just tested.
Have found a problem though Jzicc you might be able to help the 3 first round QB's are showing up with 0/0 bars any knowledge? |
Correction every QB is 0/0
|
Is it because I have too many QB's rated above 0?
|
Will delete this link sought it out and resend later tonight

Thanks for the hard work Matt.
I seem to have a problem though. I downloaded the files but I don't see them when I import draft class files, and when I manually type the file name it says it is the wrong compatibility or something. Does the file need to be run on the most recent FoF version? If so where can I get it? Thanks again |
hmmmm... nice Roster File.. but there's at least one grave error in it..
Sebastian Vollmer was born in Düsseldorf, Germany (so: "outside of USA" or whatever it is in game..) and he's 6'8" and not just 6'6" due to the Homepage of the Patsies.. |
"grave error"

Nice job Matt! I've downloaded the file and have been playing around with the ratings for fof2004.
Just wanted to say great job! Man, building one of those files from scratch looks like it would absorb several days of you life. |
Sorry guys found another error I've accidentally (or maybe seen the future) put Brandon Marshall at Dallas.
Don't wanna upload the file again all you need do is open up the csv in Excel, Go to line 1146 and under Column N change the figure from 8 to 9 Save and exit. Go into your FOF directory under player file (remember to change year to 2009) select my file then it will ask you to save it. Done then load up the alternate file like usual to start a new franchise. If any other errors pop up just rinse and repeat. |
Please note that Sebastian Vollmer's real nickname is "Sea Bass". Really.
|
Because I'm a total noob to FOF, how and where do I place the file? Do I need to download the CSV only or something else too?

this is true. sea bass...lol. very intimidating. |
Hey Matt, Can you tell me which columns in the csv i need to tweak to make a player better. I am finding huge descrepencies on how you view some of my packer players. I have loaded a fresh league over 20 times trying to get a slight random improvements on some players, but with no luck. Rodgers never goes higher than a 55 and our 3 and 4 wr's who could start for some teams are always coming out around 25. I don't mind changing this myself, but am finding the csv file daunting as the columns are not labeled.

There is a text document in your Front Office Football file folder (s/b in your C drive in Program Files/Solecismic Software) called csv that lists all the column headings. Column W is where you have the overall player rating from 1 to 9 (rare superstar). But I think Rodgers at 55 is unrealistic, probably more like a 10-15. And the WRs at 25 are a little high, too. They're probably around 10 each. While you're making changes, you'll need to up Favre's rating to 9 (rare superstar) to appropriately reflect his upcoming performance for the Vikings this year. |

i have gone through and updated ratings for all teams to match the skills of the current nfl play. guys like
wr johnny know wr mario manningham te jared cook te jermichael finley wr earl bennet olb clay matthews rb knowshawn moreno qb brett favre qn aaron rodgers qb kyle orton de antawn odom rb michael bush t jake long cb antoine cason qb pat white de larry english gave return skills to guys like sproles, ginn jr, cribbs. Gave vick running skills and a bit more sense rush and maxed his scramble frequency. I had a handful of changes for each team. i have been doing some test loads and it looks great. Made back up o lineman more worthy than the 10-25 points they were at. increased some kickers as they all seemed very low lowered ratings qb trent edwards qb jake delhomme qb jamarcus russell rb ladanian tomlinson cb al harris rb ryan grant |
I thought i downloaded the latest version but noticed there is no Brandon Marshall. Am i missing something?
|
Zullojer care to share your updated copy of the file?
|
I'd like to echo the sentiments of that last poster, I'd definitely like to see that updated roster file.
|
anyone who pm's me there email can have it.
|
Any plans to update the incorrect colleges and other info for all players? I didn't look for a super long time but noticed a lot of young players having the wrong colleges.
I have no idea how to adjust this myself but was just curious if anyone had done so already. Was thinking of starting a season but was hoping for these tweaks! If not, no biggie. Thanks for the hard work on the file guys. |
not to speak for him but college info is one of the biggest wastes of time for the data set --- Go grab the csv file, open in excel, go to appropriate column (read the txt file explaining it) and have at it ---

Sea Bass, Sebas-tian, I get it. OK, I'm also retarded. Cheers, -Bear PS: Sea Bass has also developed rapidly into a pretty solid Left Tackle. |
